Childhood

The future champion Bogomolov Alexander was born in the winter of 1976 in Krymsk - a small city of the Krasnodar Territory (Russia).

From an early age, the boy loved to play sports - exercise, fast running, strength exercises - all this gave him unspeakable pleasure and joy.

Parents did not interfere with the physical life of their child. They understood that sport mobilizes and disciplines, heals and invigorates.

Therefore, from the age of fifteen, the young Alexander Bogomolov took part in interurban school competitions, training hard to win.

Carier start

For professional sports Sasha donated his home and moved to St. Petersburg - the northern capital of the Russian Federation. There he entered the sports school, where he studied technique with the best coaches and improved his playing skills.

After graduation, promising volleyball player Bogomolov Alexander was invited to the local men's volleyball club "Motorist", who experienced difficult times in those years. It was the youth team that brought the young athlete glory and recognition. Together with the team he at the age of nineteen wins the European Championship (Turkey, 1994) and the World Championship (Malaysia, 1995), achieving the title of champion among the youth.

Approximately in this period, Bogomolov takes part in the adult championship of Russia, where, as part of his team, he holds an honorary bronze place. Competitions were held in Moscow, Odintsovo, Yekaterinburg and Surgut.

Together with the "Iskra-Podmoskovye" athlete again goes to the international level. This time he takes the third place in the European Volleyball Confederation Cup (in the annual volleyball tournament of European clubs) and becomes the finalist of the EKV.

"Zenith"

Then follows an invitation to the Kazan "Dynamo-Tatransgaz" (modern name - "Zenith"), in which Alexander Bogomolov speaks for a decade. At this time, he played about three hundred games, winning three Russian championships and three Russian Cups, as well as brilliantly showing himself in the European Champions League, where he won the fight against the Polish club "Skray" and the Italian team "Piacenza".

What during this period does he have honorary titles and awards? Alexander Bogomolov was awarded the title of the best blocking in the final stage of the Cup of Russia (in 2002) and the title of the best blocking "Final Four" in the Champions League of the European Volleyball Confederation.

After a short rest, during which Alexander Viktorovich gained the necessary strength and paid due time to his family life, Bogomolov again returned to Iskra from Odintsovo.

Then followed the invitation to the club structure "Belogorie" (Belgorod), with which the athlete once again became the winner of the Champions League of the European Commission and the owner of the Russian Super Cup.

This was the final stage of Bogomolov's playing career.

Coaching activities

Being in the composition of many volleyball clubs, Alexandra Bogomolova was lucky to learn from wonderful talented coaches, such as Alferov, Tsvetnov, Shipulin, Kolchin and Alekno. Carefully watching their activities, the athlete was able to see how weak, so strong, the mentors, which helped him thoroughly prepare for his own coaching.

The further activity of the volleyball blocker was to professionally educate the athletes and prepare them for new victories.

To begin with, Alexandr Viktorovich was offered a place in the coaching staff of the farm-team "Technologist-Belogorie", but a year later he was transferred to the pedagogical path for the main team.

There Bogomolov entered the mentoring trio, where he is engaged, mainly, by blocking players. However, whatever his merits and successes, he always listens to more experienced, sophisticated instructors - to the senior coach Kosarev and the head coach Shipulin.

In early 2017, a sensation occurred - Alexander Bogomolov again went on the field, as part of "Belogorie." However, as Alexander himself admits, this was not a resumption of the playing career.

The entrance to the site was a compulsory measure, because for unforeseen reasons the team only had two blockers, which needed to be changed during the game. That, by the way, Bogomolov turned out brilliantly.

Despite a fairly respectable age, Alexander Viktorovich is in great physical shape. Volleyball as a game, he is not going to throw, intending to take an active part in competitions between veterans.

Personal life

Alexander Bogomolov is married and has two adult children.

His family is extremely athletic and happy.

The wife of the famous volleyball player is a former basketball player.

Daughter Maria, in her time, also engaged in basketball, but later decided to devote herself to professional volleyball. At one time the girl seriously trained in Odintsovo, but due to circumstances she had to think about changing her qualifications. This process is long and time consuming, so Bogomolov decided to try to give his daughter to study abroad.

For the formation of the girl was chosen Seattle - the most prestigious university in the US, on the basis of which a strong volleyball team was created. To enter the university, Masha had to endure serious examinations in English, and also carefully work out the technique of the game. But the effort was worth it!

Now the girl is studying at the American University and takes an active part in the student league competitions.

The son of Bogomolov also follows in the footsteps of the famous parent - is engaged in volleyball at the Belgorod sports school.
