Lithuanian midfielder Edgaras Cesnauskis

Edgaras Chesnauskis is a Lithuanian football player, the last club of which was the Russian "Rostov". He is 32 years old, and he is thinking about retirement, but he has not made up his mind yet, especially given that his older brother, Davidis at age 35, is still playing. Edgaras Cesnauskis stands for the position of the left midfielder, but also can move to the center and perform attacking functions.

Carier start

Edgaras Chesnauskis was born on February 5, 1984 in the Lithuanian SSR, in the town of Kursenai. His football career began in the same club with his older brother. However, then their ways parted - Edgaras replaced "Kurenshen" on "Ekranas", in which he was regarded as a great talent. He made his debut there long before signing a professional contract in 2000, when he was only 16 years old. As a result, by the age of 18 he was already the main player of the club and for three years, spent in "Ekranas", went on the field 80 times, scoring 4 goals at the same time. In 2003, it became clear that Edgaras Chesnauskis had already outgrown his current club, and in the summer he moved to one of the strongest clubs of the former Soviet Union Dynamo Kyiv.

Playing for Dynamo

However, in the Kiev club Edgaras Chesnauskis, photos of which could be seen on the pages of many sports magazines, could not get accustomed. The first year, he generally played only for a double, first appearing on the field in the T-shirt of the main team only in the 2004/2005 season. Over the next year and a half, Edgaras played only five matches, which definitely did not suit him. Therefore, in the winter of 2006, the Lithuanian midfielder was sold to the Russian "Saturn".

Careers in Russia

Edgaras Chesnauskis is a football player who built his career in Russia. He was in this country at the age of 22 years as a young and promising player. For "Saturn" he played two and a half years, going on the field 52 times and scoring 10 goals. After that, in the summer of 2008, the Lithuanian midfielder moved to FC "Moskva", where he spent a year and a half. It was there that he showed himself from the best side and reached the peak of his career, thanks to which he noticed a much larger Moscow club - "Dynamo". After 42 games and 7 goals for "Moscow" Chesnauskis for four million euros moved to "Dynamo", but there he failed to gain a foothold. He spent at the club only one year, during which he appeared on the field 23 times and scored two goals. In the winter of 2011 Chesnauskis moved to Rostov as a free agent, with whom he signed a contract for four years. Until 2013, the midfielder played at an excellent level. He became an important member of the team and played 58 games, scoring two goals. But in 2013 everything changed - injuries and other problems did not allow Edgarasu to play normally, so until 2015 he never went on the field again. In the summer of 2015, his contract with the club expired, and since then, Chesnauskis, Jr. never found a new club.

National team appearances

Edgaras Cesnauskis made his debut for the Lithuanian national team in July 2003 at the age of 19 as a young and promising talent, which was to follow in the footsteps of his older brother. And in his debut against Estonia, Edgaras immediately scored a goal, although he played only one half. After that, he was often summoned to the national team and was able to play for her 45 matches, in which he scored six goals and gave three assists.
