Life in other people's memories. Desmond Miles - "Object No. 17"

Desmond Miles (a fictional character), a descendant of the Assassins, was born in a village populated by modern assassins. His ancestors constantly insisted that there were many Templars around - long enemies of the Assassins, so they did not let the guy out of their community for a very long time. But in vain, it still did not help them. But it did not save him.

Out of the frying pan into the fire!

In the end, he was tired of constant monitoring and moralizing by relatives, and he fled to see people and see America. Most of all he liked the big and tall New York. Therefore, Desmond Miles (photo below) rented the accommodation there and got a job as a bartender.

To his relatives did not track down, he had to often change documents, name, surname and place of residence. But this did not protect him from another danger. From the Templars, who very quickly calculated and seized the guy. They settled it at their headquarters in Rome. And, without explaining on what grounds, he was called "Object No. 17", and then forced to seek the thing they needed, which at one time owned by his predecessors.

Welcome to Abstergo

The bright room in which Desmond Miles found himself, is one of the research rooms of the company "Abstergo". It is under the control of modern Templars, but managed to get to know only one - Dr. Warren Vidic. He developed a special device - "Animus", plunges people into the memory of their ancestors. Desmond could not refuse, and he obeyed.

The first, in whose memory the guy was immersed, was the Assyrian Altair, who lived during the Crusades. Thus, Vidik was able to get a lot of knowledge, and most importantly, the location of the desired subject. Now Desmond did not need them, they decided to get rid of him. But the assistant doctor - Lucy Stillman - persuaded the Templars not to do this, because it is not known whether the information obtained is reliable.

When Lucy and Dr. Vidic leave the room, the guy activates "eagle eye". And this means that Desmond Miles is an assassin. Wandering through the labyrinths of Altair's memory, he was able to take over his ability for some hours. With the help of this skill, he began to distinguish messages from the blood, left, apparently, to those who were here before him.

The escape

While Desmond is trying to figure out encrypted messages, Lucy appears and asks him to go to "Animus." There he plunges into the memories of another of his ancestors - Ezio Auditor. But they do not have time to see them, he throws them out of the car, he and Lucy run away from the "Abstergo" miracle.

The girl leads him to one of the secret shelters, where he meets two other descendants of the assassins - Sean Hastings and Rebecca Crane. They are going to help him learn what the assassins know. To do this, he has to immerse himself in the memories of Ezio Auditor. So they do, until they find the "Abstergo" and does not force to leave the shelter.

Under the Colosseum

Time passes, and the assassins' team, together with Desmond, appears in Monteriggioni. Somewhere here, Ezio Auditor last saw the "Apple of Eden" - an ancient magical artifact. To be more precise, this place is under the Colosseum.

Desmond Miles finds him, but as soon as he takes the apple in his hands, it starts controlling it and makes Lucy kill with a hidden blade. He hears a voice that explains to him that Lucy Stillman is a Templar and can not go on with him. After that, the guy loses consciousness (falls into a coma), but he is picked up and put in "Animus" two unknowns. One of them, as it turned out later, was his father - William Miles.

"The Black Room"

Staying in a coma, Desmond is in the "Black Room" - a safe mode of "Animus". There he meets "Object No. 16", which has long ago forgotten about the real world. His mind forever blocked the device, and the body rotted many years ago. In order not to repeat his fate, Desmond will have to get closer to his predecessors and see the end of the stories of Altair and Ezio.

He watches as in 1511 Ezio Auditore searched for keys to get to the library of Masiaph in Constantinople. Only their finding leads to serious consequences. The "Black Room" begins to crumble when the "Animus" takes Miles for the virus program. The device was going to remove it, but "Object No. 16" intervened, sacrificing itself.

This allowed Desmond to see the memory of Ezio, in which Altair, using another Apple of Eden, tells him about a message of the gods found in 1499. After that, the guy meets Jupiter, who asks him to go to another temple for further instructions. At this point, Desmond Miles comes out of a coma and sees Rebecca, Sean and his father William. Now he knows how to proceed.

Juno and Minerva

The end point is the temple of the first civilization. There, in "Animus", he was waiting for the memories of the next ancestor - Connor Canoy. Sean Hastings already found the sources needed to open the aisle. Through him, Desmond first goes to New York, and then to one of the stadiums in Brazil. There the assassin finds two elements.

Meanwhile, Sean manages to find the third element, but Desmond's father decides to go after him on his own. Naturally, he falls into the hands of the Templars, who send him to the Abstergo. They promise to return his father, of course, for the "Apple of Eden." And Desmond agrees.

He enters the laboratory, where he was held before. There he encounters Aaron Cross, an Abstergo mercenary, but he can not kill Desmond, as numerous experiments have damaged his sanity. So Cross runs, but Miles catches up with him and kills him with a hidden blade. That's all, to save his father, he has only to deal with Dr. Vidic.

Taking away the third element, Desmond Miles opens the gate. There they are met by Juno, who says that for the sake of saving the world he must do very little - to give his life. At the same moment, Minerva appears, who warns that in this case he will release the Juno, and she will start capturing the world.

None of the options can not be called a compromise. After all, in one case it is necessary to perish, and in another - to live on the ruins of civilization. But he takes the side of Juno, asks everyone to leave and activate the pedestal. He takes his life, and then the guy hears the last words in his life that Yunona says: "You got yours, and now it's your turn to take me." Thus, Desmond Miles, without having had time to live his life, gave it to save many other lives. And maybe, for the sake of their death?
