Krovohlebka: application and useful properties

The plant, which will be discussed here, has a very interesting name and no less interesting useful properties. It can be used for various purposes, but not everyone knows about it.

A plant with such an unusual name, like a bloodlet, belongs to a family of pink flowers. It is perennial herbaceous. Its rhizome is thick and woody. The height of the bug may be up to one meter. Its stem is straight and ribbed. In the upper part it becomes branched. Leaves are fixed on long petioles. The flowers of this plant color are dark red.

The quack, whose application and useful properties will be considered in this article, is most often found in the Far East, the Urals, and in Eastern and Western Siberia. You can meet her even in the Caucasus. Search for it should be on river banks, glades, meadows and valleys, which are located near the water source. For the manufacture of medicinal products, the rhizome and the root of the hemorrhage are used. This must be done at a time when the plant begins to bear fruit. The upper part of it is cut off, the rhizome with roots is cleared from the ground, washed, cut into pieces, and then dried. Drying is best done at a temperature of forty to fifty degrees Celsius. It is not recommended to do this on something iron, because in this case the plant can lose all its useful properties.

Herb is best collected during the flowering period. Here everything is very simple: the ground part is cut off, and then dried in the fresh air.

What is contained in the bug

Krovohlebka, useful properties and application of which we are considering, is such a valuable plant for the reason that it contains a large amount of tannins (up to seventeen percent), as well as a lot of elagic and gallic acid, starch, essential oil, loss, dyes, Carotene and ascorbic acid. These are very valuable substances and it is no wonder that the extract of the bug is so useful. By the way, most of its useful properties were known to people many centuries ago.

Preparations, which are made on the basis of its roots and rhizomes, can stop blood, and they have antimicrobial and anesthetic action. They can also be used for various inflammations.

Tannins, which are very abundant in the bugle, allow the plant to be used as a medicine against intestinal, gastric, and uterine bleeding. A medicine for people suffering from gum disease will also have a bloodlet. Its application in dentistry is quite wide.

In medicine, a 20% alcoholic tincture of the blood-groove is used. It can be used for inhalation with pulmonary haemorrhage. Taking it internally is prescribed to those patients who have an intestinal or uterine bleeding, ulcerative colitis, or something similar. Surgeons use it to treat wounds, which are formed during the operation to remove tonsils.

Also often use a decoction of broths. It is a good medicine for gastric bleeding, as well as ulcer of the stomach or duodenum.

Often its tincture, as well as nectar, is prescribed for elderly people who suffer from functional colitis. Still these preparations can very well help or assist with dermatitis and dermatoses, trophic ulcers, they can be used for a purging of purulent wounds.

The blood throat, the application and useful properties of which we have considered, is completely safe, however, it is still contraindicated in pregnant women.
