Kraurosis - treatment will be successful!

Many women know that with the extinction of the childbearing function in the body hormonal changes occur, which can lead to the appearance of unpleasant dryness, burning in the external or internal genital organs. Itchy vulva is considered to be one of the manifestations of menopause, although this is far from the case. The appearance of itching may indicate the development of a severe disease known as kraurosis of the vulva.

In women after 45 years, the disease most often develops on the background of a change in the hormonal background and a deficiency of hormones. However, kraurosis, the treatment of which is very important to begin as early as possible, can also occur in young girls.

The causes of the disease are manifold:

· Age changes, provoked by the onset of menopause, the lack of correction of the hormonal background.

· Endocrine diseases (especially in women younger than 40 years).

· The impact of large doses of antibiotics.

· Consequences of chemotherapy, radiotherapy, radiation therapy.

· Chemical burns, in particular, an excessively strong solution of potassium permanganate, iodine or other chemicals that some ladies use to prevent unwanted pregnancies. Chemical douches can also cause syringing by unintended hygienic means for this purpose.

· General weakening of immunity.

· Psychosomatic disorders. Very often kraurosis, the symptoms of which are the same for all patients, regardless of the cause, is the body's response to stress. The disease can also develop against a background of depression, a nervous breakdown.

Unfortunately, even when diagnosed, doctors can not always determine the cause of the disease, which sometimes complicates treatment, makes it longer. Moreover, the symptoms are usually similar in all cases. Women initially feel the constantly increasing pruritus of the vulva, which turns into a burning sensation. Somewhat later, the mucous membrane swells, becomes unnaturally red, it becomes drier. This is the first stage of the disease called kraurosis. Treatment at this stage is not difficult and usually reduces to the treatment of affected areas with hormonal ointments. It is at this stage that women often comb the affected areas before the occurrence of abrasions and wounds. In combing quickly gets an infection, which complicates the course of the disease.

In the second stage, kraurosis, the treatment of which should be complex, leads to the fact that the external and internal genital organs wrinkle, "dry up". Their volume decreases, mucous pale, becoming greenish or gray.

At the third stage, the organs finally atrophy, cease to perform their functions. Slimy look like crumpled paper, urination, sexual acts are difficult, sometimes almost impossible. In the third stage of the disease, kraurosis treatment is often useless.

That is why it is so important when you have the first unpleasant sensations in the vulva, you need to immediately go to a specialist to establish a diagnosis, prescribe a treatment. Kraurosis of the vulva involves hormonal correction with the help of special drugs, psycho-corrective therapy for the normalization of the psyche, the use of drugs to enhance immunity.

One of the most modern methods of treatment of kraurosis is photodynamic therapy, in which patients are administered drugs that begin to work under the influence of certain light waves. With their help it is possible to improve blood supply, stop atrophy of organs.

Also shown is ozonotherapy, warm baths of chamomile or sequins, compresses from parsley, treatment of affected areas with hormonal ointments or liniment of synthomycin. However, it should be remembered that self-medication is unacceptable, since it can only increase the damage to the mucous membranes.

With the diagnosis of "kraurosis" women are advised to carefully adhere to a diet that excludes spices, seasonings, sweet and fatty foods.
