Korablev Denis - the main character of the cycle of children's stories of the famous Soviet writer V. Dragunsky. This character is one of the most popular in the literature, as evidenced by the fact that he became the main character of several screen versions devoted to these stories. In another story, the hero narrates how his father tried unsuccessfully to cook a chicken for lunch.

Denis Korablev is especially sympathetic to the fact that this is an extremely sensitive boy with a romantic worldview. In one of the stories, he narrates about what he likes and what he loves most, and from this long list we learn that this child has a living mind, discretion and fervent imagination. He loves music and singing, which is quite amusing in several stories. The boy likes the animal world, as we can judge from the story "White Amadins", he is attached to all living things: in one of the works he changed an expensive toy for an ordinary luminous beetle only then, so that this insect does not become fun in the hands of his friend. So, Denis Korablev, films about which were among the most popular in our country, became a favorite of many readers.

A lot of funny stories are devoted to the description of friends, friends and neighbors of the main character. For example, he narrates about the neighbor's girl Alenka and her neighbor's friend Kostik, with whom he often spent time. In the Dragoon cycle, there is also one of the most touching and sad stories "Girl on the ball", in which the boy had to endure the pain of parting.
