IZH-2715: specifications, description, modifications

"Moskvich" IZH-2715 - it's the same "shoe", "heel" or "patty." Such a nickname this model received from the people. And if the first two names are "glued" to the car because of some similarity of the external appearance with the elements of the shoes, the second one was purchased because the car was perfectly suited for transporting to the outlets of small lots of bakery products.

The history of the car

The history of the creation of IZH-2715 began with the real Soviet autorange, namely the Moskvich-434 (van) model, which was produced at the AZLK since 1968. This car, in fact, was a cargo-passenger version of "Moskvich-412" and could, besides two people, carry 400 kg of luggage.

Izhevsk Automobile Plant released its version of this car, under the marking "Moskvich" IZH-434, which from the Moscow analogue differed only in the design of the transmission, the emblem and the lower quality of interior trim. Issued them was very little, so for today this car is a rarity.

In 1972, IL released on the basis of the same 412 cargo-and-passenger model - IZH-2715. The new car, thanks to a capacious luggage compartment and ease of maintenance, became the most popular passenger working car of those times.

By the way, the body volume was the main reason for creating this model. Since in 434-m, despite the rather good load-carrying capacity, the working body could not boast of spaciousness.

Description of the machine

All cars that went off the assembly line before 1982, it is customary to refer to the first generation. To distinguish them from the following models could be along the grille of the radiator, inherited from Moscow machines, the presence of corner ventilators in the windows of the doors, and also the bulging door handles.

Since 1982, the production of the second generation of the Muscovites has been set up, with a new radiator grill directly developed in Izhevsk, modern door handles (recessed), and windows without windows. In addition, the car acquired a new hood.

As for the body, the plant produced two basic modifications: IZH-2115, which was a van with two vertical rear doors, and IZH-2715 pick-up - it had no roof above the cargo part, and the rear door was horizontal and opened from top to bottom.

In the cockpit of the new machine two separate seats were installed. The driver's seat can be adjusted to the distance to the steering wheel and the height, as well as the inclination of the backrest. A spare tire was placed behind the reclining passenger seat.

Specifications IZH-2715 on the same model could differ, as cars were equipped with two different modifications of engines: UZAM-412E - 75 hp. from. Or weaker UZAM-412DE - 67 liters. from. And, despite the difference in power, the volume of the engines is the same - 1487 liters. And the thing was that the small-strong UZAM-412 DE was working on cheaper gasoline A-76.

Technical characteristics ИЖ-2715 with the engine 75 л. from. In general, are similar to those presented above. The difference is that the engine was powered by gasoline AI-93, the maximum speed was 115 km / h, and the fuel consumption was 9-11 liters per hundred kilometers. And the mass of the car with this engine is more than a small analogue of 85 kg. But at the same time the carrying capacity of the car increased by 100 kg.

Modifications of the "patty"

In addition to the basic models IZH-2715 in the back of the van, and IZH-27151 - a pickup produced up to 1982, the car factory produced:

  • ИЖ-2715-01 - all-metal van with an updated, original appearance.
  • IZH-27151-01 - a pickup truck with the same external updates as a van.
  • IZH-27156 - cargo-passenger model designed for the transportation of six people. For this purpose, two folding double benches fixed on the sides were provided in the cargo compartment.

In all modifications IZH-2715 technical characteristics remained unchanged.

Export version of the "heel"

The Izhevsk "heel" has found its application abroad, but only in the "pick-up" variant. This machine received the marking IZH-27151 Elite PickUp and was produced from 1982-1997.

The main difference from the basic version was the increased length of the cargo platform and square headlights, the same ones that were installed on the first IL models. At the same time, the turn signals and dimensions remained the same, that is, from the IL of the latest issues. All the rest, including technical specifications, was not changed.

Frankly, this car, despite the fact that it belonged to export models, is clearly underdeveloped. The fact is that the cargo platform, of course, was lengthened, but the rear wheel axle remained at its original position, and this, if the heavy luggage was shifted to the rear of the body, or overloaded, created problems for control: the front of the car lifted above the road.

Nevertheless, orders for the delivery of such a "Moskvich" came, and primarily from Latin America, and later also from Finland.

It is known that similar cars, but already in the form of glazed vans were produced on IZH, for needs inside the country. A total of 10 copies came off the assembly line, and on this experiment ended, again because of the same problem with the management during the overload, which was observed in the "pick-up".

Since production line "Moskvich" IZH-2715, was filmed in 1997. And from the moment of the release to its stop, 2317793 copies were issued from the factory gate - the figure is quite impressive and confirming the popularity of this model. And this means that the "pie-heel", it is quite possible to write down in the autoregendy of the USSR.
