Internet Explorer is one of the leading software products on the market of Internet browsers. The browser is famous for its accuracy in the processing of web-sites, work with the equipment connected to the computer, the connection of additional modules that expand the possibilities of browsing the Internet, etc. And the settings responsible for the whole program are in the "Tools" - "Internet Options" menu, which we'll talk about.

Open the properties of the browser

In order to get to the settings we need, we need to find the word "Service" in the upper window of the program window, by clicking on which, you can see the line "Internet Options". If nothing is displayed at the top of the application window, press the "Alt" key, the labels will appear.

To get to the menu without using the mouse, you can use special keys (here is the instruction for the Russian browser): switch to the input of Russian characters, press "Alt", then "E" and "J" - the browser properties are open. In addition, by pressing the "Alt" key, the menu can be accessed using the arrow keys on the keyboard.

Tabs in the "Internet Options" menu

After you have entered the menu, the very first tab will appear - "General". Here you can specify a home page; To control the temporary files (Cookie) - delete, configure them; View the log of visiting pages; Change the default fonts, colors, languages, design: in a word, change the way the Internet Explorer will display the contents of various web sites.

"Security" - by the name it is clear what the tab was created for. Here you can impose restrictions on the functionality of some pages (limited nodes) or resolve them (trusted sites); Perform various manipulations on the configuration of JavaScript, Flash, downloading files, displaying a particular component, etc.

By going to "Confidentiality", you can set the privacy level for an Internet site using the slider; Ban or allow pop-ups on all or specific sites.

"Content" is quite an interesting tab. And the ability to restrict access to certain resources is the most useful feature in this menu and in the whole browser in general. Here it is possible to limit the display of certain information (for example, scenes of violence, profanity); Prohibit or permit the opening of pages; Put the password to open the browser. Also in the "Content" tab, you can manage certificates and autocomplete forms (for example, logins and passwords from some sites).

The Connection tab is designed to manage network connections, as well as to configure proxy servers.

"Programs" is a tab created for the entire system as a whole. Here you can assign programs that will be used for a particular purpose (for example, to send mail, receive news, etc.).

In the "Advanced" tab you can make thin security settings, multimedia, review pages, etc., allowing or disabling some features.

So, we can say that the "Internet Options" menu is easy to configure even for novice users, and for experienced users it opens a lot of convenient features.
