How to remove 'Kaspersky'

Owners of personal computers that do not represent their lives without the Internet, it is very well known that at present it is rather dangerous to view the pages of a global network without a complex anti-virus protection system. Many of those who ignored this rule have already encountered the actions of malicious programs: it is enough to recall the epidemic of virus-blockers requiring the sending of SMS.

Choose an antivirus is from what - it's commercial "Doctor Web", "Kaspersky", "Avira", etc. There are also good free solutions. Among them, Kaspersky Anti-Virus is especially worth noting: in addition to the fact that the program provides 30 days of full-featured test use (and the beta version - all 90 days), its efficiency is one of the highest.

But sometimes it becomes necessary to remove Kaspersky completely. The reasons can be very different: for example, switching to another solution, removing the product after the expiration of the key, recovering from a failure, and so on.

Surprisingly, the simple question of "how to completely remove Kaspersky" is often too complex for some users. Usually, the problem is solved simply. Consider ways to remove "Kaspersky", in order to increase the complexity of the necessary actions.

Any program written in accordance with the requirements of the Windows system, during installation, creates a link to the uninstaller in the corresponding group of the Start button and in the program's Add or Remove Programs menu. The most simple and correct way to remove Kaspersky is to take advantage of this opportunity. First of all, you need to exit the user's shell of the anti-virus program. To do this, on the red "Kaspersky" icon (next to the clock), click the right mouse button and select "exit". Open the "Start" menu and in the Kaspersky group (the exact name depends on the type of product) select "Remove Kaspersky". If the re-installation is not planned, then you do not need to save any files (this question will be asked when the uninstallation wizard is running). In the end, you should agree with rebooting the computer.

The same uninstall mechanism is used for alternative methods of launching the wizard: launch "Control Panel" via "Start", open the "Programs and Features" icon and look for "Kaspersky" in the list (delete link).

When you restart the installation, you are prompted to perform the product uninstallation.

Sometimes it does not work so easy to understand how to remove "Kaspersky": everything is not deleted! In this case, it is recommended not to "reinvent the wheel", but to download a special program from the Kaspersky Lab official site - kavremover. To understand how to remove "Kaspersky" with it can even a schoolboy.

Start kavremover, type the proposed digital confirmation code (if you have problems with recognition, you can update it by clicking the arrow icon next to it). Using the bottom drop-down menu we specify the name of the installed software product - the list is quite wide and includes even an antivirus version 6. It is important to know that kavremover does an excellent job of removing and modern Kaspersky Lab programs that are not included in the list. For example, to remove from the system KIS or Crystal, it is enough to specify in the quorumor the line "delete all known products". While this method works. Scanning the system will take several minutes, depending on the speed of the computer. Then you need to reboot.

There is also a more cardinal way to remove Casper - manually. It involves removing the appropriate program files, stopping services, and cleaning the registry. We load in the mode of protection against failures, delete the Kaspersky directory in program files, stop the service avp (device manager - show hidden devices), scan the program with CCleaner. More information about this method can be found on the forums.
