How to make paper artificially

Today many young ladies are fond of such applied art as scrapbooking. They do manually all sorts of notebooks and albumists, which sometimes are so beautiful and unique that they can be safely put up for sale and ask for a lot of money.

Particular love is enjoyed by notebooks that look almost like antiquarian: yellowed, crumpled, slightly scorched, as if past wars and revolution. Such diaries look vintage, stylish and unique, because even artificial aging of paper can not be performed in exactly the same way. If you get fired with the idea of getting such a glamorous album for records, scrapbooks and photos, then you can start making sheets for it even now. Choose any of the favorite ways to give ordinary printer paper a shabby look and embark on an exciting process.

The first and most common way how to make old paper is as follows: make strong tea leaves from black leaf tea (for 200-250 ml it takes from five to ten teaspoons of tea), insist it for ten minutes, filter and pour into a bath Paper tray). Next, take a sheet that you want to see shabby and obsolete, and lower it for a couple of minutes in a tray with tea. Preliminary paper can be slightly crumpled (before the immersion spread), so that the effect was greater. Now remove the sheet from the brew and place it on a flat surface so it dries. You can try to dry on the clothesline, as previously dried photos, attaching it to the clothespin. Dry the dry sheet thoroughly with an iron. You can make the aging of paper even more realistic by putting on the sheet a couple of blots from the tea leaves. And still it is possible cautiously, observing fire safety, singing edges of a candle or a lighter. Then, exactly, your sheet will acquire a "post-war" look.

The following method, how to grow old paper, is similar to the previous one, but in The place of tea is used coffee, and natural ground. It is necessary to pour five teaspoons of coffee with a glass of boiling water and hold under a tightly closed lid for ten minutes. After this, the solution must be decanted in the most careful way and kept for a few more minutes so that the entire sediment is settled. Further the procedure is the same as in the "tea" method, with the only difference being that the paper needs to be kept in solution for a little longer - about five minutes. If you overstay, the sheet will finally soften, and you can extract it only in parts.

And another interesting way of how to make old paper. It will take about 150 ml of fatty, preferably home-made milk and a soft thick brush. Although you can use foam rubber sponge. Well we cover the wrinkled (or not crushed, as you wish) printer sheet with milk from both sides and leave for a while, so that the paper is impregnated. After that let the leaf dry and iron it.

There is an even more natural option of how to age paper. But this requires a lot of sun and summer. It is desirable that within two to three days the paper is exposed, albeit not too intense (to avoid inflammation), but still attacks the sun's rays. During this time, it will turn yellow by itself.
