How to draw vegetables: step by step instructions

How many vegetables in our life! Just a huge variety of them can be seen on the shelves in supermarkets, in the markets, and, of course, in the garden at the dacha or at the grandmother's. These are perfect creatures of nature that do not resemble each other and have certain qualities inherent only to them. Therefore, many people have a desire to translate these ideals on a piece of paper, but that's not how everyone knows how to draw vegetables.

In fact, it's very easy to portray them. The main thing is to follow certain rules, and you will succeed!

Preparation for drawing vegetables

Before you start, put all the necessary things on the table for drawing:

- a blank sheet of paper (cardboard);

- simple pencils (hard and soft);

- The eraser;

- Vegetables, which you will draw from nature;

- paints, brushes and water in a jar, if you make a drawing in color.

Consider the first option - how to draw vegetables with a pencil.

First, take a hard pencil, marked with a H on the end. It is best for them to start building, since if you do not press strongly on it, all the lines that make up the base can easily be erased. Now on the piece of paper note the center of the future figure, for this you can just put a barely noticeable point. Next, you need to decide which figure is the basis of the fruit you have chosen.

Using a pencil, we take measurements (marking the parameters with your finger, as in the photo) and transfer them to our album sheet. When measurements of all parts of the vegetable are made, you can draw from them even lines, and thus create a frame-building.

Now you can proceed directly to drawing all the details. If before measurements are made correctly, in the end you will need to erase only the construction lines.

When the vegetable is completely ready, it is possible to start its shading. Remember that in one subject it is always done in one direction and necessarily with smooth transitions from shadow to glare. The reflex should be slightly lighter than the shadow of the object itself, but the falling shadow, on the contrary, is the darkest place in the picture.

If you decide to give the image a color, you should learn how to draw vegetables in stages with colors. Any work begins with the coloring of the background behind the main objects: it can be a table and a window behind it, or the fabric on which the object lies. Next, you need to give the color to the vegetable. It is first painted over with one light primary color, leaving a spot of glare, and then a darker shade draws a shadow on it. That all colors do not mix in one whole, it is better to wait, while each layer will dry.

Vegetables, based on a circle

Now we will consider in more detail how to draw vegetables, based on a circle. To such it is possible to carry: a tomato, an onion, cabbage, a potato, a radish.

As already mentioned, we put a point. Next by eye measure the line horizontally and transfer it to the picture. Pencil, with a finger mark, apply to the center (point) and make a note to the left horizontally and to the right. Do the same thing up and down, also, without removing your finger. Now that there are these notes, you can draw smooth lines. So we get a square in which it's easy to draw a circle.

All other parts (tail, leaves) are better represented after you erase the construction of the circle.

Vegetables, based on oval

Since we figured out how to build for round objects, we will not have any difficulty with how to draw vegetables based on the oval. These include cucumber, carrot, eggplant, corn.

Instead of a square, you need to construct a rectangle. First make notes horizontally, and then vertically. Horizontal lines must necessarily be longer than vertical lines.

After that, we begin to draw the oval, and then to a more detailed picture of the selected vegetable.
