How to decorate a Christmas tree for the New Year

If the New Year is not an empty sound for you, you need to think in advance, before the holiday, about how to decorate the tree. After all, this tree is the embodiment of the arrival of a new time, our hopes for the future. And in general, if the meeting of the coming year speaks of possible forecasts of its holding, as folk wisdom says, then the decoration of a green beauty must be approached creatively. It would seem that it's easier: install on the cross, fasten balls and toys, sprinkle with serpentine and "rain", wrap them with electric flashlights. Of course, it's easier. But then how does this tree differ from the previous one? The holiday should be memorable.

To diversify the meeting of the coming year, it is best to think of some theme of fun. For example, to honor an animal of the Chinese lunar calendar, the year of which should come in January or February. Even if you do not believe in horoscopes, it will be interesting to know what colors a magical gold dragon or white mouse likes or dislikes, you will probably have ideas how to decorate a tree. Instead of the traditional top, you can put on the top branch of a tree a figurine or a soft toy of the "originator of the celebration". Balls and jewelry should be borne in the beloved animal tones. You and your family members can also dress in these tones, and the child can be dressed in the carnival costume of the magical master of the year.

You can once again remember that in the world these holidays follow immediately after Christmas, and in the Russian Orthodox tradition - they precede it. It is worth thinking about how to decorate a Christmas tree in the Christmas manner. The top should be the star of Bethlehem. At the foot of the tree, put the tabernacle (figures of different sizes are sold in stores). The retro style did not let anyone down. If you inherited from your great-grandmother boxes with Christmas toys, you do not have to puzzle how to decorate the tree. Feel free to hang on it the figures of cosmonauts, workers and collective farmers, apples made of papier-mâché and porcelain dolls. Tones can be very different: from the reserved palace (gold and silver) to the bright "country", where rival red, gold, green, purple and blue colors. To crown a tree, by itself, should a five-pointed star. However, it is important not to overdo it: a large color disparity, and even in the interior of a small city apartment - can look a bit lurking.

If you do not have New Year jewelery, you can show your imagination and figure out how to decorate the tree beautifully, starting from scratch. Of course, you need to buy for yourself the tree itself - natural or artificial. Better yet artificial - both for the environment and for you (now the fir trees are much more beautiful than those clumsy and bald trees, which are sold at unrealistic prices in the markets at New Year's Eve). You do not need to install the felled tree in a bucket of water and then six months to sweep the fallen pine needles. So, put the beauty on the cross, spread out fluffy "paws" and began to design.

There are several secrets of how to properly decorate a Christmas tree. You need to start from the branches near the trunk, gradually moving to the outer branches. On the top of the tree it is recommended to hang small balls, on the middle segment - medium and small toys, and the lower ragged branches can be decorated with large balls and toys. Hanging decorations, we pass to the lights. LED garlands must necessarily have a certificate, so that the holiday does not turn into a tragedy due to a fire. You can lower the garland "in a spiral", and you can "bottom-up". The first option is good for a not very luxuriant Christmas tree, and the second - for a low tree. Having finished with electric bulbs, we take for rain and other "tinsel". Strike where you think there is a lot of free space. And the final touch: if you have a natural spruce or fir, sprinkle the tips of the branches with a spray of silvery paint.
