How much is in demand for a second pension for military pensioners in Russia?

A few years ago in the legislative system of the Russian Federation a bill was adopted that provides for the possibility of additional payments of pension contributions to certain categories of military pensioners. This news was received by our compatriots with great joy, but in addition it caused a number of difficulties, since the second pension for military pensioners was provided only in some cases. After the approval and legal approval of the new social program, a large influx of pensioners poured into the social protection departments, who wanted to know more about who still has the right to priority registration of additional benefits. The fact is that before the adoption of this bill a person could receive one of these pensions, but now thanks to additional payments, the social situation of unprotected citizens will increase substantially.

Material assistance to military pensioners who do not fall into this category is possible only if, at the time of reaching the pension threshold (for men this is 60 years, for women - 55 years), such a person has at least 5 years of official work experience "in a civilian". That is, if during his service in the army or in such power departments as the FSB, the police, and other special forces, a person has officially worked part time in the civilian sphere. And since a person deducted a certain percentage to the pension fund under the law on general pension insurance, now he has the right to such additional social security as a second pension for military pensioners.

Modern conditions for the appointment of any pension in our country provide for three main parts: basic, funded and insurance. The whole system functions due to a clear interrelation between all its parts, an important role in which also the size of the deductions. The new law, codified No. 156-FZ, also fixes the right for non-working pensioners to receive additional payments on the basis of insurance contributions, of which, in fact, the second pension for military pensioners is being formed. It is noteworthy that some citizens may receive an additional pension before reaching the retirement age, which also contributes to the social protection of our population.

It should also be emphasized that all citizens who have linked their lives with service in the law enforcement structures are at greater risk to health, both psychophysiological and physical, and therefore the state establishes appropriate privileges for them. It is also important to understand that, despite insufficient economic development, our country continues to pursue a policy of gradual strengthening of the social orientation of the protection of the population. Proof of this is provided by the relevant legislative acts and resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Russian Federation. The second pension for military pensioners is extremely important, as it not only helps our elderly compatriots survive the difficult economic development of the state, but also demonstrates to the youth that the country should never forget all those who have served it faithfully for many years. Hopefully, in the near future the amount of all financial payments to pensioners will only increase in proportion to inflation, and the living conditions of people will gradually improve.
