Hotel "Heliopark", Suzdal: photo and reviews of tourists

To touch the centuries-old history, taste traditional cuisine and understand the mysterious Russian character - these are, perhaps, the main tasks that foreigners set themselves for themselves while traveling in Russia.

We, of course, have museums of contemporary art and fashion exhibitions. However, it is much more interesting to feel the atmosphere of Ancient Rus. You can do it in the ancient city of Suzdal. Reviews of tourists highlight this particular town, which is part of the famous "Golden Ring".

City-Museum

Suzdal is one of the few cities in Russia that modern buildings have not touched. This place is a true nature reserve, where a unique number of architectural monuments are preserved - many are on UNESCO's list of sites.

The decision on the special status of Suzdal was made in 1967. Large-scale works on improvement and restoration began in the city, new expositions were opened.

Today, the city-museum lives at the expense of the tourism industry. Cafes and restaurants, hotels in Suzdal and guest houses, as well as souvenir shops - local people are always glad to travelers, especially foreigners.

Approximately 15 years ago the garment factory was reorganized. An important object since then is called "Souvenir shop of Suzdal" and is the main supplier of ceramic and clay products, as well as birch bark souvenirs. On the most interesting gifts read in the second part of our review.

Where to stay?

There is a category of tourists who do not care about living conditions at all - they are ready to spend the night in cheap hostels or even in their own tents, if weather conditions permit. However, most travelers still care about the issue of accommodation.

In Suzdal, some local residents have guest houses. As a rule, the owners occupy one half of the village house, and in the other they rent out the guest rooms. This is the most budgetary accommodation option, but do not forget about the human factor. You do not receive any papers about booking or providing services, and at any time you can suffer from an unscrupulous owner.

Another option is to choose the official hotels of Suzdal. In the list of the best, according to tourists, was the hotel "Heliopark." Prices, accommodation options, entertainment and more read in our review.

Heliopark Network

Moscow, Kaliningrad, Penza, Krasnaya Polyana, Nebug, Baden-Baden (Germany) and Leukerbad (Switzerland) - the network of Heliopark presents twelve modern hotels with an excellent level of service.

"Heliopark" (Suzdal) fits perfectly into the city landscape. All the buildings of the complex are made in the Old Russian style. The incredible beauty of nature and wooden huts make it possible to feel the special atmosphere of the Russian outback, where unity with nature and a sense of freedom are charged with energy and positive emotions.

Summer pavilions, a unique bath complex, sports grounds, fishing, horseback riding, leisure for children - these are just some of the entertainment that Heliopark offers.

Excursion to Suzdal, visiting the Kremlin and monasteries, shopping in the Gostiny Dvor - two days in this unique place will be few. In addition, the infrastructure of the hotel involves a full vacation here.

Accommodation options

Rooms of the hotel "Heliopark" (Suzdal) are 85 rooms of different categories. All the hotel buildings are made of wood. The furniture is made of environmentally friendly materials, and specially selected textiles and decor elements make the interior of the apartments homely.

What do the guests think?

We hope that the hotel administration will "work on the mistakes". In the reviews most often you can read the following complaints:

  • Poor sound insulation;
  • Weak Wi-Fi signal;
  • Faulty plumbing in separate rooms;
  • Need for repair.

These drawbacks, unfortunately, lead to the conclusion that the hotel "Heliopark" (Suzdal) does not correspond to the four stars in terms of level. Hence, the prices here are unreasonably high.

Food

As we have already said, most residents of the city-museum work in the tourism industry, so you will not have problems with food. Especially it concerns the guests of the hotel "Heliopark" (Suzdal).

Travelers' comments mark a huge restaurant complex, which includes:

  • fireplace Hall;
  • Tavern Korchma;
  • Music room;
  • bar;
  • Hall "Hops";
  • Cafe in the open air;
  • Summer gazebos.

Professional chefs treat dishes according to individual recipes. The menu also contains home-made products (milk, cottage cheese, etc.), which many of us like to eat for breakfast.

The interior "as in a village hut" creates a special atmosphere of comfort. It seems that you came to visit very hospitable hosts.

The only drawback that guests noticed was the price. However, if your holiday is limited to one weekend, then you are unlikely to pay any attention to this.

SPA "in Russian"

We know for sure that no hotel or guest house in Suzdal can boast of such a luxurious spa center. You, probably, hope to hear about the overseas hammam or mud packs?

No, we are talking about a unique bath complex. Visiting the bath is a centuries-old tradition of purifying not only the body, but also the soul. "Heliopark" (Suzdal) offers its guests a complex of eleven baths:

  • Salt. The relaxation room and the steam room are decorated with unique plates made of Tibetan salt. Suitable for the treatment of allergies, chronic respiratory diseases and insomnia.
  • Siberian. It will pleasantly surprise the aroma of birch, oak, juniper and fir brooms. Instead of bedding in the steam room, aromatic hay is traditionally used.
  • Bath in a black. The process of preparing such a bath is incredibly complex and takes place in several stages, with which only a real professional can cope.
  • Altai. Sun beds and walls inside are made of a fake board, so that when heated, the room is filled with a delicious aroma. There is a special room with thatched sunbeds, which will help to relax even more after the steam room.
  • The taiga. You will be charmed by the aromas of spicy herbs, junipers and needles. About the harsh taiga resembles an unusual interior.
  • Country. For finishing the steam room was used a unique natural material - lime croaker. It has good moisture and heat capacity, but the main advantage lies in the aroma of honey that occurs when heated.
  • The Noble.
  • Tsarskaya.
  • Merchant.
  • Boyarsky.
  • The peasant.

The last five types of baths are very similar: traditional steam room, rest room and access to water (in the winter for swimming, an ice hole is made). The noble and royal baths are additionally equipped with pools with cool water and billiard tables.

All visitors can use the services of the bathhouse attendant, make honey massage or honey-salt peeling. And do not forget about the fragrant herbal tea with local honey.

Do not miss!

Most often in Suzdal come only for one weekend for two reasons:

  • Travelers know that at this time you can see all the sights;
  • Guests are afraid to get bored in a small town.

The last statement does not apply to the hotel guests "Heliopark" (Suzdal) - here everyone will find an interesting activity for themselves.

Firstly, it's water activities: swimming in the warm season, boating and, of course, fishing.

Secondly - sports. On the territory of the hotel are equipped areas where you can find the same kind of like-minded people. In addition, there is a bicycle rental service.

Thirdly, the guests have the opportunity to take part in unusual performances and mass festivities. This is a unique chance to try on folk costumes, taste traditional treats and just have fun while listening to Russian songs.

"Shchurovo Gorodishche"

Hotel Heliopark (Suzdal) and the museum "Shurovo Gorodische" suggest you immerse yourself in the atmosphere of Ancient Rus. In a territory of one hectare, there is a real Slavic settlement.

Chopped huts, barns, weapons and smithy, camp kitchen - the basis for the open-air museum was the scenery prepared for the shooting of the picture "The Tsar" (directed by Pavel Lungin).

Today, visitors are taught archery, possession of a sword, art to bake bread in an old oven and even teach lessons on agriculture. In the cattle yard you can "talk" with animals.

Visiting the museum "Shurovo Gorodische" brings to the same delight both children and adults - for this reason the complex is recommended to all guests of the hotel "Heliopark". The prices here are quite democratic. The entrance ticket costs 100 rubles (free of charge for children under 5 years old), photo in armor - 50 rubles, training in military skills - 50 rubles, riding a horse - 300 rubles.

In the working environment

Traditionally, large hotels do not forget about their corporate clients. Almost any event can be held in one of the two conference rooms:

  • "Kaleidoscope" is designed for 80 people. Pros: stylish interior and all the necessary equipment.
  • "Festival" is designed for 200 people. Suitable for large presentations, conventions and conferences. The hotel staff organizes small coffee breaks.

For memory

Excursion to Suzdal will leave you a lot of pleasant impressions. However, memories have the property to fade, and, therefore, it is worth taking care of memorable souvenirs in advance. So, what to bring as a gift?

  • Honey and mead. Probably, explanations are superfluous, because beekeeping is very well developed here. And to imagine Suzdal without this strong drink is simply impossible.
  • Knitted goods. Warm woolen socks with patterns, mittens and scarves, lace tablecloths and napkins are also in demand - they are most often purchased by foreigners.
  • Crafts made of wood and birch bark. Original boxes, baskets, boxes and bags learned how to make local people from birch bark. In addition, souvenir shops traditionally sell products of wood (jewelry, dishes, interior items), skillfully hand painted.
  • Clay and ceramic jugs, figurines and kitchen utensils. The objects most often depict the coat of arms of the city or historical subjects.
  • Patchwork sewing. Original blankets and blankets, bags, pillows and even pictures - their feature is that it is impossible to find two identical things. Local craftsmen for each product come up with their own ornament and select new patterns and colors.
