General information about fire cabinets
In the event of a fire, all extinguishing agents must be in a special and easily accessible place. This is necessary in order to begin to neutralize the fire as soon as possible, because the countdown can take not minutes, but only for a few seconds. For this purpose, fire cabinets serve. They are not just a pointer to the place where fire-fighting facilities are located, but also allow them to be stored so that, if necessary, their removal and preparation are carried out as simply and quickly as possible.
Fire cabinets are usually classified according to several parameters:
- Presence of a compartment for a fire extinguisher. From the name of the criterion it is already clear that there are cabinets with a compartment and without it. If it is provided in the design, then on the labeling of the cabinet an additional letter "O" is added, then the designation of the fire-fighting equipment looks like "ShPK-O". Otherwise, just "ShPK".
- Form of execution. If we look at the cabinets from the point of view of this
Parameter, they can be of two types: open and closed. And in the latter version, the doors are usually equipped with a lock, and on the case very often you can find a hook or a basket for storing keys. This is very convenient, because if necessary they do not have to be looked for. Also, closed fire cabinets are sometimes further demarcated by a parameter such as the presence of windows through which their contents are viewed. - Method of installation. According to this criterion, the fire equipment under consideration is divided into two types - one that is mounted on the wall, and one that is built into it. The fireman's hinged case is easy enough to fix, but at the same time it will always stand out clearly on the wall, which from an aesthetic point of view not everyone can approach. As for embedded models, their installation is more difficult, since it requires a niche in the wall for them.
