"Furamag" - analogs. Tablets "Furadonin": instructions, price

"Furamag" is a complex preparation with pronounced antibacterial properties, which are caused by the content of the active substance - furazidine (a ratio of 1: 1 with magnesium carbonate). It belongs to the group of nitrofurans and has a rather wide spectrum of action. A positive effect is observed in the treatment of classic staphylococci and Escherichia coli, as well as in neutralizing paratyphoid pathogens; During therapy, the symptoms of urinary infections provoked by resistant strains regress.

The ability to maintain a peak concentration of reagents for a long time in lymph and bile is a distinctive feature of the drug "Furamag" (the analogs demonstrate a slightly different metabolic dynamics and often do not give the desired result).

pharmachologic effect

The mechanism of the reaction is based on a gradual slowing down of the synthesis of nucleic acids. Reagents "Furamaga" affect the respiratory activity of microorganisms by blocking cells with subsequent disruption of the cycle of production of tricarbon compounds. At the same time, there is a destructive effect on the cytoplasmic membrane (or biological membrane). Since all important functions of microorganisms are paralyzed, they soon die. However, the effect of using the drug takes place before the onset of a significant decrease in the number of pathogens of infection: active furazidine begins to break down toxins - the product of the vital activity of bacteria - at the primary stage of absorption, which positively affects the patient's well-being. And this is the main feature of the therapeutic course based on the drug "Furamag" (analogues, whose prices are comparable to the cost of this medication, as a rule, can not guarantee such a scenario).

Reasons for prescription

The expediency of use is determined by the doctor according to the results of the survey. Diagnoses, in which the purpose of the drug is topical: cystitis, pyelonephritis, urethritis, which occurs in a chronic or acute form, prostatitis, other diseases caused by gynecological infections. "Furamag" provides good health dynamics in the elimination of traces of severe burns. As an auxiliary, it can be used to treat bronchitis, pneumonia and other pulmonary diseases of a chronic nature of origin.

For preventive purposes (to prevent infectious relapses or for urological operations), the use of the drug is also very justified. In particular, "Furamag" - analogues to a much lesser extent - perfectly suits the role of "sterilizer" in cystoscopy and catheterization.

Procedure of application and dosage

"Furamag", the price of which in pharmacies is 350-950 rubles (depending on the form of release), refers to medicines not symptomatic, but a regular cycle of admission. In case of violation of the temporary mode of use, it is necessary to take measures to obtain the next dose in the shortest possible time. However, it is strictly forbidden to use a double standard of substance in order to replace the missed reception.

"Furamag" is a preparation of the oral type. It is used immediately after meals and washed down with water (at least 150 ml). The maximum permissible daily dosage: for adults - 300 mg, for children with a body weight of more than 30 kg - 150 mg (with the "breakfast - lunch - dinner" regime). Children under the age of 10 years the total dose is determined by the formula: d = 5 x m, where d - the limit amount of the drug for use within 24 hours (mg), m - the weight of the child (kg).

Limitations and side effects

Contraindications to the preparation of the drug "Furamag" (analogues, whose composition is identical to the indicated agent, are also undesirable for use in these cases) the following:

  • Individual intolerance of the base components or hypersensitivity to the derivatives of the nitrofuran group;
  • Chronic or acute liver and kidney disease (including atypical toxic hepatitis) ;
  • Pregnancy (the period of breastfeeding);
  • Disorders in the body, expressed in acute deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase.

The general reaction of organs and systems to Furamag reception can be called positive (the active substance is characterized by low toxicity and good absorption).

However, in the form of exceptions, such side effects are likely:

  • Permanent dizziness;
  • anorexia;
  • Skin disorders in the form of an allergic rash ;
  • Depression;
  • drowsiness;
  • Aching pain in the right hypochondrium;
  • Imbalance in the liver.

Sometimes there is a staining of urine.

Interaction with other medications

"Furamag" is often used in the diagnosis of "cystitis." Drugs designed to fight this disease tend to be tolerant to other drugs of the same pharmacological group. However, there is a list of undesirable combinations. So, for example, the simultaneous adoption of "Furamag" and levomitsetina (ristomycin, chloramphenicol) can lead to oppression of hematopoiesis. A negative effect is also observed when interacting with quinol derivatives. Antacids, in turn, prevent the smooth absorption of active components of the drug, and representatives of the group of probenicides slow the withdrawal of "Furamag" from the body, which, naturally, is fraught with side effects.

During the course of treatment, you should stop using alcohol and any medications on its basis.

Antimicrobial properties of the drug reinforce antibiotics related to penicillins and cephalosporins (a similar effect is achieved when combining Furamag with erythromycin or tetracycline).

"Furagin" or "Furamag": are there any fundamental differences?

Both medicines are nitrofuran compounds and they do not use injection forms (capsules and tablets only). Furagin is manufactured in Russia and the CIS. And Furamag, which is available on the market today, is mainly a product of the Latvian pharmaceutical company Olainafarm.

According to practitioners, there is no serious difference in the mechanisms of the effects of drugs on the body. Nitrofurans are not classic antibiotics. Their functions are reduced to inhibiting the growth rate of bacteria, which leads to a reduction in the number of microorganisms in the pathogenic colony, but they can not completely destroy the source of infection. Therefore, the higher price for the drug "Furamag" (analogues - "Furacilin", "Furazolidon", "Furadonin") is dictated solely by the need for imports.

Combating cystitis: the trade names of the most effective medicines

Cystitis is a disease with "bad consequences", which, nevertheless, with timely diagnosis is amenable to complete cure. Among the results of a progressive disease - pyelonephritis and vesicoureteral reflux (the latter is dangerous in that it leads to a complete functional imbalance of the kidneys).

In order to stop (slow down) the inflammatory processes caused by infection, patients, among other medications (usually antibiotics), are prescribed drugs based on furazidine - most often Furagin or Furamag. It is also worth noting that the regression of the disease is noticeable in complex therapy on the basis of Nimesulide and Furadonin.

Tablets "Furadonin": instructions for use

The drug is equally useful in the treatment of cystitis in both women and men. Absorption in the gastrointestinal tract can reach 97 - 100%, while the active substance penetrates into the brain tissue, the placenta, is secreted with milk during breastfeeding. The mechanism of the reaction is a violation of protein synthesis in pathogenic microorganisms at the cellular level.

Inflammation of the kidneys, bladder and outflow canals, as well as various preventive measures aimed at minimizing the likelihood of relapse in the urinary system - in all these cases, tablets from Furadonin cystitis can be used for their intended purpose. Among the main contraindications are chronic ailments of the liver and kidneys. In addition, it is not recommended to take the drug to pregnant women and newborns (under 1 month of age). From breastfeeding is also worth abstaining.

The normal daily intake for adults is 600 mg (4 tablets of 150 mg, single dose - not more than 300 mg), for children - from the calculation of 5 to 7 mg per 1 kg of weight (in four steps). Duration of the course is up to the discretion of the doctor, but not less than 7 days.

Use of "Furadonin": special instructions

Tablets "Furadonin" instruction for use defines as a medicament for the treatment of acute and chronic cystitis of percolation.

A separate item of this manual identifies important points directly related to the treatment process:

  • When the symptoms of peripheral neuropathy are detected, the drug should be stopped immediately;
  • Long-term use of antibacterial substances must necessarily be accompanied by regular medical examinations (in particular, liver function monitoring is necessary);
  • With digestive system disorder, which sometimes occurs when using "Furadonin", can be controlled by reducing the daily dose;
  • There are cases when the drug caused drowsiness in patients, therefore it is not recommended to control the car (or other mechanisms) during the treatment.

Reviews about "Furadonin" and "Furagine"

Used as a cure for cystitis, "Furadonin" in most patients does not provoke allergic manifestations. At the same time, the hopes placed on him are mostly justified. Given the low cost of the drug and its high enough efficiency, it is extremely difficult to find negative feedback on the network - positive evaluations and neutral comments prevail.

The attitude towards Furagin is somewhat different: in spite of the fact that this tool is an analogue of the Furamag, preference is given to the latter. This is the opinion of patients. Doctors also talk about parity of drugs.
