Born Matuidi April 9, 1987 in France in the family of Angolan immigrants. In six years he joined the football academy of a small club "Fontenay". There he spent five years until in 1998 he moved to another club, "Vincennes". In a new place, he stayed for another three years, in 2000, enrolled in a prestigious football school called "Clerfontaine." While the young talent was engaged there, he moved to the base of the club "Créteil", for which he played at the youth level for three years. And only in 2004 he entered the system of the professional club "Troyes", speaking in the second division. A year later, Blaise Mathewi concluded a professional agreement with the club, having already played two games for the main team at the age of seventeen. In "Troyes" midfielder spent two more years as a professional player, going on the field 66 times and scoring four goals. Then he noticed the big French club "Saint-Etienne", which in 2007 paid five million euro for a young talent.

Footballer Blaise Matiudi was definitely talented, but at that time no one believed that he would fly to great heights. A club like "Saint-Etienne" was considered a limit for him - and the midfielder was glad that he moved there. Already from the first season he became the player of the base, having spent 37 matches in the T-shirt of the new club. In total, Matuidi played for Saint-Etienne for four years, and during this time he appeared on the field 154 times in all tournaments, including 9 matches in Eurocups. He scored only three goals, but this was quite a reasonable explanation - as already mentioned earlier, Matyudi is a defensive midfielder, and at that time he generally acted as the opornik. For the French national team Matyudi debuted in 2011, when he played for "Saint-Etienne." As a result, Blaise went to the European Championships in 2012 , but played all matches on the bench. In October 2014, he first brought the national team to the match with the captain's armband.
