Fish description black

Predatory fish are unusually voracious, especially if you eat them occasionally. The problem of nutrition is most acute in deep-sea fish, since the living resource in such conditions is significantly limited. An example of an unusual gluttony is the black ani-creator. It is a small fish that can swallow prey greater than itself.

Short description

Black rabbit refers to chiasmodontovy, or zhivoglotovym, fish from the family luchoperyh. It is classified as a representative of a widespread group of Perciformes. It is a deep-water predator, the size of which varies from 15 to 25 cm. However, individuals measuring 25 cm are extremely rare. Like many unusual fish of deep-sea species, the hornlocks have an elongated body, compressed laterally. The dorsal fin is small, and the scales are absent completely. The color of the nigger can be black, as recorded in the title, and brown. The walls of the predator stomach can stretch very strongly. Thus, an elastic muscular reservoir is created in which large portions of food can be digested. The musculature of the predator is poorly developed, but its jaws are worthy of a separate chapter.

Teeth as an instrument and a natural barrier

The structure of the mouth in the animal-fish fishes is very peculiar. Black rabbits have a disproportionately large mouth for their small calf. The bones of the jaw are elastic in the predator, and the jaw itself has articulations, which allows the jaws to move forward and downward when opening. Since the extraction of an animal-builder often exceeds it in size, without such an adaptation it was not possible to cope with it.

Teeth in the mouth are arranged in two rows and have different lengths. All of them are fanglike. Teeth grow not quite straight, but under a slight inclination towards the oral cavity. This feature in the structure of the jaw gave the Latin version of the name - Chiasmodon. The term is formed from two ancient Greek words - "crossed" and "teeth." A small internal bias in the growth of teeth prevents the prey victim from escaping to freedom, creating an insurmountable barrier.

How the animal builder finds the prey

As is known, sunlight does not penetrate into the deep layers of the ocean. How does the fish hunt black creatures if there is darkness around it? Especially for this, nature supplied its creation with a system of lateral line organs. By the way, this system is present in many deep-water inhabitants. Thanks to it predators are able to catch low-frequency fluctuations of water and determine where the extraction is located.

How to eat

Since the observation of this process is almost impossible, the scientists put forward two opposite theories.

Black rabbit swallows fish from the tail, swamping from behind. Extraction can not escape from the crossed teeth and gradually gives up.

The predator starts the meal, grabbing the prey for the protruding part of the muzzle. Gradually, he pushes the opponent into the stomach. At the same time, each extraction movement helps to push. As soon as the head and respiratory organs are in the stomach, prey stops breathing and stops resisting.

Which of these theories is more similar to the truth, can not be justifiably proved yet. The fact is that scientists did not manage to get a living and capable rabbi alive.

How dangerous it is to be "greedy"

As already noted, the natives feel the need to swallow any prey not from greed. The desire to eat for the future is associated with a small number of deep-sea inhabitants. Unusual fish, living under the water column, often pay for their "stockpile" life. The thing is that swallowing large prey is easier than digesting it. The elastic stomach just does not have time to allocate the right amount of enzymes to complete the digestion. In this case, the decomposition process starts right inside the stomach. There is a selection and accumulation of gases, which raise the black abnormality to the surface and lead to its death.

This was the most famous example of a voracious creature. This happened off the coast of the Cayman Islands in 2007. A black rabbit, whose body was about 19 cm long, was found dead, as he could not digest a huge mackerel. The length of the extraction extracted from the stomach was 86 cm. According to the state of the predator, it was not entirely clear whether the mackerel had penetrated the thin wall of the stomach with a sharp nose or began to decompose in it. This is not the only case when the creatures died because of their appetite.

Black creatures, or chiasmodons, are the most common species among the animal-borne fishes. Earlier they were considered rare inhabitants of the depths of the ocean, but today they are inclined to believe that this opinion was erroneous. Black creatures enter the food chain of tuna and marlin. Their remains are often found in the stomachs of these fish. Scientists suggest that the number of black natives is quite high, because 52% of the tuna and marlin studied had parts of these deep-sea predators in the stomach contents.
