Electrodes T-590 and their properties

For the Russian company "Monolith" raw materials are supplied from Germany, Switzerland and Finland with the goal of making electrodes on modern high-quality equipment.

Electrodes "Monolith T-590" are produced with a special coating. Are used for surfacing of parts and restoration of cast iron and steel products, where increased hardness is required. Ideal for arc welding.

Application area

Electrodes T-590, the characteristics of which will be given below, have a wide scope of application.

They are well suited for large-scale works, for example, surfacing the teeth of a bucket of an excavator, which works in sandy soil, as well as cheeks of crushers, plowshares and many others. They are also used for the repair of small machinery. This restoration helps to extend the life of metal products.

Electrodes T-590 are used for manual arc welding of wear parts of machines. They are of the type referred to as high-chromium cast iron.

Terms of use

In order to produce surfacing, it is necessary to clean the welded part from contamination, oil and rust. Also, do not weld more than two layers on steel parts, and cast iron - in a single layer.

If the wear of the part is significant, it is better to use other electrodes for the lower layers, depending on the composition of the metal of the product.

It is possible to deposit a preliminary layer with electrodes "Standard RC", "Monolith RC" for such steels as carbon low-alloy. For steels alloyed with manganese, electrodes of SSSI 13/55 "Plasma" can be used.

Electrodes weld metal with high wear resistance. It is prone to the formation of various small cracks about 2 mm in size. However, this does not reduce the quality and durability of the restored part.

T-590 electrodes have found wide application in the mining, agricultural and transport industries.

Special Properties

If special alloying elements are introduced into the coating , they are given a high hardness. However, a less ductile seam is obtained, if not subjected to additional heat treatment.

The heat transfer before welding can and should not be done, if the conditions and storage times have been met. In the case of humidity - calcine for 60 minutes at a temperature of 240-260 ℃.

Surfacing should be done in the lower and inclined positions with small oscillations of the electrode or narrow rollers. The current must be constant with direct polarity.

Electrodes T-590 are distinguished by their characteristics and special properties from the others. They provide a stable build-up layer, which has a high resistance to abrasion by various solid particles.

Advantages of welding electrodes

  • High wear resistance and hardness of surfacing.
  • Possibility of welding of cast iron products.
  • Corrosion resistant seam.

Electrodes

Welding electrodes T-590 are very popular due to their universal properties. The quality of this brand is tested by multiple tests and is confirmed by positive feedback from customers.

Products are packed in special packs weighing 5 kilograms. On the corrugated cardboard the marking with technical parameters of welding is printed. Are wrapped in a special shrink film for maximum safety.
