Doors: PVC or wood

Doors - this is not only a mandatory building structure, which protects the living space from cold and uninvited guests, but also an element of decorating the interior. Until recently, they were made mainly of wood (in the olden times for strength they were reinforced with metal). In the nineties there was a general fascination with metal doors, competition was going on, from whom it is stronger. The last doors were PVC. What are their peculiarities?

PVC doors, like similar windows, are made of metal-plastic profiles. Modern industrial technologies allow producing such doors for different purposes, they can be balcony, entrance and interior. Just like the windows, there are two to five cameras in the PVC doors. The number of cameras influences noise and thermal insulation.

The glass used for these structures is stronger than the one used for window panes. It can withstand heavy loads, since the operation of the door is significantly different from the operation of windows. Stable is this glass and to mechanical impact. It can be transparent, stained glass, matte, with a pattern in the form of a spray, with a toned film.

Angles of the profile in the doors made of PVC are further strengthened. The whole design is single-, double- or multi-leaved. The canvases themselves can be any color, with any external texture. Balcony PVC doors in this case are part of the overall design, made from the same material as the window. The whole design meets the uniform requirements for design, sound and heat conductivity.

The entrance doors from PVC are reinforced with stainless steel. They well withstand low and high temperatures, do not deform, do not lose their appearance, can successfully resist the attacker. The service life of such a product is several tens of years. One upsets - the door, which meets all these characteristics, is well worth it. The price goes up to one hundred and fifty thousand, but this is already the eternal door. Although there are, of course, budget options. But in any case, the choice is to study the warranty period. They should be long enough, then there is a possibility that the door is qualitative.

Domestic manufacturers also offer interior PVC doors. Traditionally, paintings of this purpose are made of solid wood or chipboard. PVC doors were previously installed only in public places. Now everything has changed. Probably, entrepreneurs decided to expand the market and began to produce interior doors made of PVC. That's where there is a chance to clear up fantasies. Plastic obediently mimics the textural drawings of natural materials. They are advantageously placed in rooms with high humidity, they do not deform.

There is one more condition on which depends whether there will be problems during operation or not. Doors must be correctly installed. It's worth it if you have certain skills.
