Diroton: instructions for use

The medicine "Lizinopril" (or otherwise "Diroton"), the instruction for which is offered to your attention, is an extremely effective drug for lowering blood pressure. Its antihypertensive effect has been proven by numerous studies. This drug is used as a monotherapy or in combination with other similar medicines for hypertension. This drug is also used when a person has chronic heart failure. It is especially effective in treating this disease if combined with diuretics and (or) with digitalis preparations.

If a person has essential hypertension, the doctor can appoint only one diroton. The instruction for use states that in this case the patient should take these tablets at 10 milligrams per day at a starting dose and 20 milligrams per day with a maintenance dose. It is possible that the doctor to achieve a greater effect may prescribe the use of lisinopril for a period of two to four weeks. This is taken into account in determining the daily dose. There are cases when the use of a diroton with hypertension does not give a good enough result. Then the doctor can supplement the treatment with another drug that also has an antihypertensive effect. More than 40 milligrams a day is not assigned a diroton. Its application is usually designed for a period of two to four weeks. Only in this case, with its constant use in the dose prescribed by the doctor, the maximum effect occurs. Therefore, do not rush to increase the dosage, even if you do not see a rapid improvement in health. The medicine must be accumulated in the body in sufficient quantity to then act on it.

If a person before taking lisinopril took diuretics, they cancel them two to three days before the start of the use of the drug "Diroton". Instruction for use contains information that if such cancellation is impossible, the diroton is prescribed in the minimum dose - 5 milligrams per day, no more and then under strict medical control for six hours (during this time, the maximum effect of lisinopril on the body is reached) . Diroton is usually taken once a day. It is desirable that this happens at one time, preferably in the morning before or after breakfast.

If a pregnant woman is assigned a dirroton, the instruction manual should be carefully studied by her. During this period, doctors prescribe this medicine only for vital indications. During lactation, if necessary, take a diroton, the instruction for use says that it is required to stop breastfeeding in order to avoid harming the baby.

Unfortunately, such an effective drug, as "lisinopril", has side effects. So, at its reception there can be a giddiness, a pain behind a breast bone, a headache, a tachycardia, a dry cough. Possible violations in the digestive system: vomiting, diarrhea, nausea. The reception of dirotoa on the functioning of the circulatory system is reflected. When it is used, ESR increases (the rate of erythrocyte sedimentation), stenosis of the aortic orifice can develop. At long reception the level of a hematocrit, a hemoglobin decreases. The urinary excretory system for lisinopril reacts with hyperkalemia, an increase in the level of creatinine, and urea nitrogen. There are other contraindications. Therefore, if you are assigned a diroton, the instruction manual should be thoroughly studied. In no case do not drink alcohol when taking this medication.

"Diroton", a drug for reducing high blood pressure, is a complex synthetic drug, the active ingredient of which is lisinopril, is available in tablet form for 20, 10, 5 or 2.5 grams. The package usually contains fourteen tablets. Use a diroton only if the doctor appoints him. Self-administration of this medicine can not begin.
