Dimedrol in ampoules

"Diphenhydramine" in ampoules effects through the central nervous system. The drug removes spasm in smooth muscles, eliminates and prevents allergic reaction, reduces capillary permeability. "Diphenhydramine" (injections) has a hypnotic, sedative, antiemetic effect.

The drug is characterized by good absorption, the ability to penetrate the blood-brain barrier (BBB).

Diphenhydramine in ampoules is used, as a rule, for the treatment of hay fever, urticaria, capillarotoxicosis (hemorrhagic vasculitis), serum sickness, acute iridocyclitis, dermatoses (itching), angioedema, vasomotor rhinitis, allergic conjunctivitis and other allergic diseases, including Number to alleviate the symptoms of complications when taking medication, in particular, antibiotics.

Like other antihistamines, the medication is used in the therapy of radiation sickness.

A relatively small activity is manifested by the drug "Dimedrol" (in ampoules) with bronchial asthma. In this case, it is prescribed in combination with ephedrine, theophylline and other medicines.

In some cases, "Dimedrol" in ampoules is prescribed for peptic ulcer in the stomach, a hyperacid gastritis. "Dimedrol" is indicated for air and seasickness, chorea, Meniere's syndrome, vomiting of pregnant women. The drug is used and as a hypnotic and sedative as alone or in combination with other similar drugs.

Assign the drug intramuscularly or intravenously.

Dosage for children from fourteen years and adults - one or three times a day for 1-5 ml, children up to fourteen years - 0.3-0.5 ml of 1% solution.

The use of "diphenhydramine" can cause coordination disorder, dizziness, confusion, nervousness, agitation, tremor, cramps, irritability. When an overdose occurs CNS depression, dilated pupils, the development of depression or excitement (in children). In this state, intravenous fluids of plasma replacement are administered, and if necessary, prescribe drugs that increase blood pressure. In case of an overdose, do not use analeptics and epinephrine.

"Diphenhydramine" in any dosage form is dispensed only by prescription.
