"Dark World": actors and roles, the history of the sequel

In 2010, Russian film enthusiasts were surprised by the domestic fantasy thriller "Dark World", shot by Anton Megerdichev. Three years later, the screens went on his sequel - "The Dark World: Balance", on which already worked another film crew and another cast. Was the second "Dark World" surprised by the audience, the actors and the roles they played?

Brief plot of the film

In the new film "The Dark World" actors and roles had little in common with the previous picture, but the plot was still sharp and fascinating.

Student Dasha, who lives in Moscow, suddenly discovers the ability to see otherworldly parasitic creatures that suck energy from ordinary people. Moreover, she gets acquainted with people from the special service that is engaged in catching energy vampires and sending them back to the Dark World. Dasha joins the company and begins to hunt for "parasites".

And at this time in another country a black magician Alexander conceived to open a magical portal and flood the human world with shadows. By a sudden coincidence, Dasha is the only one who can stop him. Passing through a series of tests, a young hunter after the shadows manages to upset the plans of the villain.

"The Dark World: Balance": the history of creation

The script for the new project was written by Marina and Sergey Dyachenko, who also worked on the script of the previous film. Originally planned to create a prequel to the "Dark World" by Anton Megerdichev, but in the process of work a completely separate story with new characters appeared.

The director of the project was Oleg Asadulin (t / s "Closed School"), and the producer - Natalia Klybanova ("Pickup: eat without rules").

The shooting lasted 118 days, in parallel with the full-length film was created 12-serial version of the picture, shown a little later on STS.

All the episodes were filmed in Moscow and the Moscow region. Scenes in the legendary RSU were filmed on the territory of the Moscow Power Engineering Institute, RSUH and MSTU after NE Bauman.

The painting "The Dark World", actors and roles, played by young talents, did not have much success with the public. The film did not pay for itself at the box office: with a five-million budget, the picture was only able to earn two million dollars.

It was not easy to get into the project "Dark World": actors and roles - photo performers speak eloquently about it - were selected and created with special care. Maria Pirogova, who played Dasha, competed with sixty contenders and won.

A young actress is known for her film work in the TV series "Univer" and "Interns". Participation in the "Dark World" was not an easy task. For example, shooting underwater scenes with an actress dragged on for as long as 10 hours, and all this time, Maria had to be in the water.

But in any case, the role of Daria, who fearlessly struggles with energy vampires, has replenished the piggy bank of various characters, played by the actress, and positively affected the career of Maria Pirogova. The film "The Dark World" has cemented the success of the actress in Russian cinema - almost every year a new project with her participation appears on the screens.

It was assumed that the plot of the sequel "Dark World", actors and roles (2013), as well as other components of the project will seriously entice viewers. But, unfortunately, "Dark World-2" failed at the box office and did not overtake the popularity of the film by Anton Megerdichev.
