Copper Grease: Characteristics and Features
The use of innovative lubricants increases the quality and efficiency of any equipment. In today's market there is a fairly wide range of such products, but choosing the most effective option for lubricating specific units operating under extreme conditions is not an easy task, requiring appropriate skills and knowledge.
Scope of application of copper pastes and greases
Many of us have heard about copper-based lubricants, but what they are and where they are applied, certainly not everyone knows. This lubricant is widely used in the metallurgical, automotive, food, petrochemical and foundry industries.
Basic physical characteristics of copper grease and its advantages
The following advantages can be attributed to the main advantages of the above lubricants:
- High bearing surface;
- Excellent hydrophobic properties;
- High adhesion to any materials;
- Absence of a drop point;
- Low evaporation rate;
- High temperature resistance;
- Easy disassembly of devices even after their long operation;
- Good protection against corrosion ;
- Ensuring a constant tightening force of threaded connections;
- Universality in application;
- Excellent capillary properties, allowing the composition to easily penetrate into small cracks and holes.
Copper paste and grease:
- Reduce vibration and noise;
- Withstand high pressure;
- Provide electrical conductivity;
- Do not contain lead;
- Effectively prevent abrasion and wedging of parts.
Copper grease: application features
Most experts recommend carefully cleaning them from dust, old paste and dirt before applying the material to the treated surfaces. Copper spray grease should be applied to a clean surface. Surplus can not be deleted. For application of the product in banks, a special brush or a clean piece of cloth (rags) is used.
