The symbolism of this country is interesting by the presence of several variants of the emblem - large and small. In each there are important for understanding the history of the state of the moments, so they should be considered separately.

Great option

The state emblem of Serbia is a symbol of the sovereignty of the country, which was approved in August 2004. On his chest is a red shield. There is a so-called Serbian cross with four flints. Above the shield there is a cloak and a royal crown. They coincide with the images from the emblem of the Obrenovic dynasty, which was adopted in 1882. The use of such symbols serves only as a reference in the history of the state, not having any relation to the monarchical order. There are other countries in the world that use the coat of arms of the royal crown or other elements, but they are democratic republics. These include Poland, Bulgaria, Hungary, Russia, Montenegro and Georgia.

Small version

The small coat of arms of Serbia looks like a red shield, on which is depicted a silver two-headed eagle, crowned with a crown. On each head there are nine feathers, and the beaks are turned in different directions and are executed in gold color, they are widely opened. The wings are spread out and form with the tail and heads the outline of the cross. The feathers on the eagle's neck are distributed in four rows, each with seven feathers. On the wings the circuit is about the same. Each wing has four rows with different numbers: seven feathers in the first, nine in the second, seven in the third and the same in the fourth. The eagle has golden legs that are diagonally oriented. The tail is located vertically, on it three rows of feathers of seven. On the chest is a red shield with four fields, each with one silver flint. From above there is a golden crown with white beads, blue sapphires and red rubies, and also with a cross. The large coat of arms of Serbia is supplemented with a mantle with ermine undercover as a background. In addition, the crown on it looks different: it is adorned with more sapphires.
