Chubushnik coronal - garden jasmine

Shrub with fragrant flowers, in which the flavor of citrus notes are pronounced, is called "garden jasmine" among amateur gardeners, but in fact it is a crown of chubushnik. The period of its flowering is the last week of May. On one branch there may appear from 3 to 9 buds of white color, and in some varieties they can be cream-green, milky and even pink. To the touch they are velvety-terry. Due to the fact that the inflorescences themselves are quite large and are very dense from each other, the bush looks like one huge flower with a strong aroma. In such a state, the Chaebus coronary may last up to three weeks.

Garden jasmine can be planted in the ground or in the fall, after the end of all the garden works, or in early spring. It should be noted that when choosing a place on which shrubs will grow, it should be noted that subsequent transplantations will be excluded. This is due to the fact that the Chubushnik coronal has a powerful root system with numerous branches from the main root, which penetrate into the soil to a considerable depth, and when transferred to another place, it can be damaged, as a result, the bush may not settle down in a new area. The hole should be scooped out sufficiently large, up to half a meter in diameter.

With regard to further care, it does not involve any special activities. Cutting the plant can be the most time consuming process. Once a year, after the end of flowering, gently remove branches on which there were no buds, with the rest to pinch the tops. This procedure is protective, it will allow the garden jasmine to survive the winter and not freeze. The removal of dry branches is carried out as they arise, but at least once every four years. As for decorative trimming, the chubushnik coronal does not need it because of its natural shape.

In autumn and spring, feeding is carried out: in the first case, it is of an organic nature, in the second case it is a complex of mineral fertilizers.

Reproduction can be of three kinds - seed, cuttings and by means of the broods. In the vegetative mode, it is necessary to prepare the shoots from autumn. Pruning is carried out so that the bottom edge is located maximally to the corner of the trunk of the main branch, and the upper one is above the last pair of kidneys. For winter, cuttings are buried or left in the basement. Disembarkation is performed immediately after the snow has fallen into a light sandy loam.

When sowing chubushnik (jasmine) is initially grown in greenhouses before the first shoots appear, which can be seen already a week after the introduction of seeds into the soil. In the open ground they are placed at the end of summer.

In order to reproduce by means of broods, at the end of autumn or early in the spring, several years old shoots should be bent to the soil and sprinkled with earth, and then, after the end of winter, be seated in a permanent place.

Garden jasmine (chubushnik) especially well grows in open areas, where there is no shortage of sunlight, although it feels fine in the penumbra, the only thing that can be affected by the lack of bright lighting is a slightly lagging period and the duration of flowering.
