Children's creativity: three-dimensional application "Santa Claus and Snow Maiden"

New Year is a holiday full of magic, miracles and, of course, gifts. No child will refuse to present a small New Year hand-made made by own hands, grandmother or other relative. Such a gift can become an appliqué "Santa Claus and the Snow Maiden."

Materials for application

To execute this picture, you will need:

1. Black or dark blue cardboard. It should be dense enough not to warp under the glue. You can also take a thick cardboard from under the box and paint it with the desired gouache paint. The application "Santa Claus" will be glued to this cardboard.
2. Color paper - blue, red, beige, white and yellow. This can be any paper: ordinary, double-sided, glossy or even self-adhesive.
3. Vata. It will be needed to add the amount of application.
4. Glue. The best option would be a conventional PVA, but also a "Moment" or a self-made paste.
5. Scissors. For children, the ideal option will be a special scissors with closed blades and rounded ends.
6. Ruler.

9. Felt-tip pens.

Beginning of work

The application "Santa Claus and Snow Maiden" is made from cut geometric shapes of different sizes and shapes. For this, it will be more convenient for adults to prepare cardboard templates in advance: a medium-sized circle (the head of Santa Claus), an average oval (the head of the Snow Maiden), a small oval (mittens), two triangles of different sizes (Santa Claus and Snow Maiden fur coats), two rectangles of different sizes ), Two small triangles (caps), a small asterisk, a very small circle, a large circle (a bag with gifts), a small triangle.

Next, from the colored paper you need to cut out the right amount of all these shapes. The application "Santa Claus and Snow Maiden" consists of the following stages:

1. One blue triangle (a coat for the Snow Maiden), one small triangle (a hat for the Snow Maiden), two small ovals (mittens of the Snow Maiden), two rectangles (the hands of the Snow Maiden) should be cut from the blue colored paper.
2. From red paper - a large triangle (Santa Claus fur coat), a smaller triangle (cap), two small ovals (mittens), two rectangles (hands), a large circle (bag) and a small triangle.
3. From a beige paper one circle and an oval (faces of the Grandfather of the Frost and the Snow Maiden) are cut out.
4. From white paper you need to cut out a lot of small circles (snowflakes), you can use a punch for this.
5. Of yellow - asterisk.

Assembling the applique

1. Half the cardboard backing should be covered with white paper. It will be snow.
2. Then we need to arrange the figures so that the appliqué "Santa Claus and the Snow Maiden" is obtained. To do this, first gather the figures of Santa Claus and Snow Maiden, who will stand side by side. From Santa Claus put a bag with gifts. When assembling the bag on top of the circle, a small red triangle is applied , the corner of which closes a little around.
3. Stars and snowflakes are spread out in a uniform and chaotic manner, without affecting the white half of the cardboard.
4. Then all parts of the application are glued to the cardboard with glue.

End of work

The application "Santa Claus and Snow Maiden" is made volumetric with the help of cotton wool.

To do this, a thin layer of glue is smeared with snow below the picture, the region of Santa Claus's beard, the lower edge of the caps and coat of heroes, cuffs of sleeves and snowflakes. Then the cotton wool is neatly distributed to these places. On snow and snowflakes, cotton wool should be a little, but on fur coats and hats it is better to take it more and paste it thicker. The Santa Claus beard performs any desired length and thickness. Also from cotton wool you can make a collar or braids to the Snow Maiden.

After the glue dries, markers need to be drawn to Santa Claus and the Snow Maiden of the face. You can also decorate with fur coats and a bag with gifts.
