Establishment of the Order of the Red Star took place in 1930, according to the Decree of the Presidium of the Central Executive Committee of the USSR. Appointment of the award is purely military, it should be awarded only to those who distinguished themselves in the performance of important combat missions. The form of the correct pentagram, the emblems of the armed forces of the first proletarian state, and the color corresponding to the flag of the USSR, themselves set the target orientation of this sign.

He received the award not for past merits, but for quite specific actions to protect the CER, who was attacked by the gourmets. The Order, like the exploits of the past, did not become a defense against the repression of the late 1930s. Blucher was shot.

Silver and enamel became the materials from which the order was made. The pre-war fate of the Order of the Red Star in general terms corresponds to its purpose. The conflict on Lake Khasan, Khalkhin-Gol, the successes of Soviet aircraft designers Ilyushin and Tupolev, long record air travel, weapons development Degtyarev, Tokarev - everything that the country was proud of, and that to some extent was associated with its protection, was noted to them. In the years 1930-1941, "Zvezdochki" received 21,500 people.

In 1942, there was a practice that became an unwritten rule, according to which the Order of the Red Star was awarded to the heroism associated with the deadly risk. Awarded soldiers and officers wore it on their chests next to a badge for a serious wound. In the conditions of mass heroism, the mint, on which government awards were made, worked at full capacity, more than 2.8 million copies were produced.

Many of the Knights of the Order of the Red Star found out about their rewarding years and even decades after the victory, the performances could get lost, such cases were not uncommon. And in the sixties and seventies the central newspapers published articles with catchy headlines "The award found a hero!" "Red Star" was the most massive order in the years of the battle with Nazism.

Peace time was not easy for everyone, there was enough time to accomplish the feat. In the early sixties, a doctor who got into a plane crash was helping wounded passengers, although he himself suffered from injuries caused by the fall of the plane. Sappers cleared the terrible fields - the legacy of the war. Then there was Afghanistan. The tasks solved by our soldiers in this country were no simpler than those that fell to the lot of their grandfathers.

After the end of the existence of the USSR, the motto of the Order of the Red Star has lost its relevance, the proletarians no longer unite. His place was taken by other awards, but the glory of the heroes who shed blood for their homeland will never be forgotten.
