Cement Novotroitsk Plant: history, production, products

JSC "NTSZ Novotroitsky Cement Plant" is a large manufacturer of portland cement of various grades and building materials based on it. It is located in the city of Novotroitsk in the southeast of the Orenburg region. Productivity of the enterprise is 1300000 tons per year.

History

Cement Novotroitsky factory was founded on October 21, 1954 to provide construction materials for the Orsko-Novotroitsky industrial area. The first stage consisted of two production lines and a rotary kiln with a design capacity of 450,000 tons of cement. In 1956, the productivity was increased to 600,000 tons of cement by increasing the diameter of the furnace and entering the raw mill. Two years later, a new rotating furnace was launched.

1960 was the year of big updates. A large raw materials shop, completed with three mills, was put into operation. Due to its capacity, the volume of produced cement was 930000 tons. Until the end of the 60s all furnaces were modernized, their diameter was increased to 3.6 meters, the system for feeding ground slag from the hot end of the furnace was introduced. These measures made it possible to increase the productivity to 1,300,000 tons of Portland cement.

In 1972, the NZP was awarded the Honorary Mark, and the Portland cement M-500 was awarded the Quality Mark. Subsequent five-year period the collective regularly exceeded its production plans. Its products went to the development of enterprises in the Orenburg, Chelyabinsk regions, Bashkiria, Kazakhstan, housing was built, military and other facilities.

In 1986, the factory specialists developed a unique product - a cement, a besklinker M-150, obtained from industrial waste. On 12.11.1992 the state enterprise was transformed into Novotroitsk Cement Plant JSC.

Production

The annual regulatory capacity of NZP is 1297,000 tons of portland cement each year for the manufacture of low grade cement. The production cycle is organized by the so-called wet method, which allows the fine adjustment of the mineral composition of the feedstock due to the introduction of corrective additives.

Cement Novotroitsk plant consists of a complex of auxiliary, main shops and infrastructure facilities. Each specialized shop carries out its own technological process:

• Preparation of raw materials;
• Grinding;
• burning;
• Packing products;
• Her shipping.

All the lines are linked in a unified streaming system.

Raw materials base

Cement Novotroitsky plant uses raw clay extracted from its cement clay quarry located near the industrial base of the enterprise. Limestone is supplied from the Akkerman mine (YUGPK, Novotroitsk) and JSC "Gaisky GOK" (Gai town). Gypsum is imported from Kumertau (Bashkortostan). According to a specially constructed overhead road VKD (aerial cableway), blast furnace slag with OJSC "Ural Steel" is supplied to the NCC.

Production

OJSC Novotroitsk Cement Plant offers the following types of portland cement:

• M-500 without additives of mineral raw materials;
• M-400 with mineral additives;
• M-400 without additives;
• M-400 with additives sulfate-resistant;
• M-400 without additives sulfate-resistant;
• No-pressure plugging for a moderate temperature environment;
• No-pressure plugging for normal and low temperature environment;
• Plugging with additives for a moderate temperature environment;
• No-fattening plugging with high sulfate resistance;
• No-fat plugging with moderate sulfate resistance.

Also NZP produces slag cement of M-300 and M-400 grades, mineral powder for organomineral, asphalt-concrete mixtures.

Marketing

According to the accepted marketing policy, cement Novotroitsky plant is focused on two large target markets: the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan. Since the cost of delivery in the total price of the products is high, the company aims to serve the nearby territories of the Southern Urals and northwest of Kazakhstan. Following market trends, NZP increases the shipment of sulfate-resistant Portland cement.

Within the framework of production cooperation, the Novotroitsky Plant established stable economic ties with the Akkermanovsky mine, enterprises: Sandin LLC of the Republic of Bashkortostan, OJSC Ural Steel (Novotroitsk), JSC Gaisky GOK (Gai city).

Development

One of the important strategic tasks of the company is the replacement of morally and physically worn out equipment. Despite the consequences of the financial crisis, the management of the enterprise pays paramount importance to the modernization and reconstruction of production facilities. For this purpose, the specialists of the plant solve the problems of improving production technology in order to reduce production costs, increase profitability, and produce competitive products.

In recent years, a large amount of work has been carried out to improve and reconstruct the existing technological equipment. In particular, modernization of rotary kilns, cement and raw mills has been carried out. Work was carried out on the capital and current repairs of drying drums, SM 170 grinders, D-16 crushers, technological equipment of cement silos No. 1-16. Technological lines of dry slag transportation to the united warehouse for storage and packing of finished cement products (technological lines Roto-Paker, Big-Beg, Aspiration loading system) have been improved.

Novotroitsk plant continues to develop. Its products are in demand in private housing construction, construction organizations of Russia and Kazakhstan.
