All the details are securely fastened, so you do not have to redesign the decor every year, as in the case of paper ornaments that are torn and quickly deteriorate. Another advantage of such hand-made articles is the simplicity of manufacturing, because they are not complicated to make them than paper ones. Decorate with a satin ribbon decor can be a window, a Christmas tree, a New Year's costume, and even make a garland.

What will be required

Kanzashi snowflake should be performed accurately and consistently, so it is better to find everything you need in advance. While working, do not be distracted by the search for missing materials. So, prepare the following:

  • Satin ribbons of different widths (from 5 mm for carcass decoration up to 5 cm for making large elements).
  • A fabric of suitable quality, color and texture (kapron, organza).
  • Scissors.
  • A lighter, a candle, matches.
  • Tweezers (for ease of use).
  • Needle with thread.
  • Thermal gun.
  • Cardboard.
  • Wire.
  • Decor (beads, beads, sequins, for example in the form of snowflakes).
  • Tape or decorative cord for the manufacture of suspension (optional).

The list is presented to the maximum. In the minimum set, you can do with ribbons, scissors, a cigarette lighter and tweezers.

How to add a single petal

How is the Kangaroo snowflake made? The master class will teach you how to collect simple workpieces for its creation. Work as follows:

  1. Cut the tape or other prepared fabric into squares.
  2. Treat slices above the candle flame or lighter.
  3. Fold the square in half, and then double in half. You can glue the layers with a thermo-gun, sew with threads or heat the place of docking over a cigarette lighter and squeeze with a pair of forceps so that the parts fuse.
  4. Cut the bottom corner of the resulting blank to make it look like a petal, like a ring.
  5. Having completed many such details, you can compose from them the elements of the rays for snowflakes and middles from the required number of parts.

How to make a double lobe

To perform beautiful Kansashe snowflakes (photo below), you will need to make double petals.
The technology is as follows:

  1. As for single, cut the ribbon into squares. You can create a double element from both identical and different sized blanks. In the first case, it is necessary to cut the bottom of the petal further. Colors and even textures are better to choose different. So it will be more effective.
  2. Fold both squares separately to triangles.
  3. Repeat the previous step again.
  4. Place one triangle on the other (the smaller one for the larger one).
  5. Do the third addition of both blanks together.
  6. Connect, as well as a single piece, using a lighter, thread or hotmelt.

Snowflake-Kanzashe: master-class

If you have mastered the method of manufacturing simple elements (single or double), you can start creating a beautiful winter decor. To make you get the same beautiful snowflakes-Kanzas (photo below), it's enough to combine the manufactured parts in different versions.

To form the middle of the snowflakes, it is possible to make an element consisting of double lobes of larger size with glued in the middle smaller single or the same double billet. In addition, you can decorate the middle of each petal, attaching and fixing a teardrop-shaped bead-pearl. It is not difficult to create a huge number of options. It all depends on your imagination, perseverance and desire.

The snowflakes are assembled by two methods:

  1. Without a skeleton.
  2. On a wire-cardboard basis.

The second method is suitable for large products with long beams. Small snowflakes can be done by the first method. In the variant without a skeleton, a snowflake in Kansas technique is simply assembled by gluing the elements together. First, the blanks are collected from several petals, and then the large parts are joined together.

Assemblage of snowflakes on the frame

If you decide to work with a skeleton, the sequence will be this:

  1. When the required number of petals is ready, cut out from the cardboard a circle along the diameter of the snowflake's rotation to close the joints of the parts. The same circle, only larger diameter, made of cloth.
  2. Put the cardboard blank on the fabric and pull the edges of the fabric along the inner contour of the cardboard circle.
  3. Cut from the wire blanks for the rays (3 large and as small). The size is equal to the diameter of the snowflake (after the wire can be cut in half).
  4. Wrap the wire with corrugated paper (or replace it with a tissue). Lubricate with glue.
  5. Glue to the wires a narrow satin ribbon of suitable color (they will be on the back).
  6. Cut the billets into two parts.
  7. Proceed to assembly. Collect the middle of a snowflake, for example, from 6 petals. Glue the workpiece to a round cardboard-fabric base.
Prepare the details of the rays to the wire of the frame.
  8. Glue all the rays to the circle from the back of the snowflake. This can be done, but if you need a more accurate back, make a second circle of fabric and glue it with the top layer. It is easy to attach a magnet to it. The circle can also be with a cardboard base inside.
  9. Finish the front: decorate with beads, if desired, treat the corners of each element with gel with sparkles.

Thus, Kanzash-snowflake - a beautiful decor, which is easy to make, and there are many options for using it.
