But it turns out, and in this case, which is usual for every person, there are tricks. In addition to the usual spring landing, there is a planting of potatoes for the winter. Those truck farmers who used this method noted a huge temporary win. Moreover, in autumn it will not be necessary to plow the land, which also affects the economy of finance.

True, with this method it is necessary to take care of the organic litter for the seeds. Still it is necessary to choose such place where there is no stagnation of spring waters. If there is clay soil on the site, it is not bad to use the planting of tubers in beds, which will prevent them from washing away the soil.

In connection with the fact that the shoots of winter potatoes appear on the vegetable garden a little earlier than the spring crops, they should be sprinkled with earth or carefully tempered. This will help to save germs from frosts. It is also better to choose later varieties for winter planting. Some truck farmers use a trivial way of covering the shoots with film or paper. And potatoes should be planted as late as possible, when there is no longer a warm time, so that the balls do not have time to shoot in the fall.

Planting potatoes in the fall suggests selection for seeds of nodules of medium size. Although you can also use large potatoes, only to plant them not entirely. Cutting the top about 3 cm deep, where the largest number of "eyes" is concentrated, the rest is recommended to be used in preparing the dinner. The bush, which the owner decides to "decay", should be abundantly poured, then gently pull out the excess sprouts from the ground, trying to pull them out with the roots. All removed shoots should be planted in a loose soil of 3-5 branches per hole. Of course, the harvest obtained from such seedlings will be less than from bushes planted with tubers. But all the same, the total number of nodules with this method of propagation of potatoes will significantly exceed the result obtained by trivial planting.

Also, for the reproduction of a small amount of seed material, one can use a method such as planting potatoes with seeds. To do this, in autumn, you need to collect not only tubers, but also "berries", which are formed on potato bushes in the place of flowers. These miniature "tomatoes" hide the seeds of potatoes. It is also important that root crops grown from them are obtained without diseases, which are mainly preserved in tubers and are transmitted "from generation to generation".

Growing potatoes from seeds is necessary in the same way as tomatoes, excluding diving. In early June, after freezing, seedlings are planted in a permanent place. The first year they receive a small number of fairly small roots, the size of a walnut. But the next year the breeder will get a completely normal harvest. And most importantly - perfectly healthy!
