Asian spikelet :: knitting pattern

Not all beautiful and three-dimensional knitting patterns are performed using complex elements, for the performance of which you will need special skills. Having studied the technique of performing the front and back loops, you can proceed to such a pattern as an Asian spikelet. In some sources it has an excellent name, replaced with an Asian braid, but it is the same element that has the same scheme and execution.

Where to apply?

The pattern of Asian spikelets, because of its uniqueness, found application in both accessories and everyday objects. A simple technology with a voluminous beautiful result is very popular. The product made by this technique looks luxurious and direct. Apply an Asian braid for knitting hats, scarves, ponchos, jackets, sweaters, as well as rugs, rugs, etc.

Features of the pattern

In contrast to the classical version of knitting, in which the canvas is completely knit, and the patterns are formed due to elements such as nakid, closing, crossing the loops, the Asiatic spit has its own characteristics. One way of performing is to partially tie the rows. That is, some loops remain on the spoke unchanged or closed, while others are tying in a certain sequence. According to another technology, Asian spikelets are formed by closing and tying loops in one row, and the pattern itself is executed after the knitting of the main cloth. The process of knitting is carried out by alternating the usual front and back rows.

Technique of execution

As already mentioned above, the pattern can be performed in two different technologies, with the result that the resulting structure will differ from each other. The first way of execution is the simplest option, rather than the second. Therefore, the training should begin with a simpler pattern of Asian spikes, the master-class performance of which we offer to your attention.

Method of execution number 1

The dimensions of the finished pattern can vary depending on the number of typed loops and the number of rows that will be placed between the slits in the canvas. First of all, we are talking about the width of the product. It should be taken into account that after the final execution this parameter of the pattern will be reduced by about one and a half times. This is due to the fact that the ribbons obtained by closing the loops will be intertwined with each other, thereby compressing the working cloth. This must be taken into account if you plan to perform the product yourself, without ready-made diagrams and descriptions. The number of side loops from the pattern can also vary, and those that will be closed to form a pattern. Consider knitting with knitting needles, the Asian spikelet in which is formed by the first method.

Knitting sequence of the first method

We type on the spokes of 40 loops.

We knit six rows of facial smoothness. This number can be changed, the fewer rows, the more elegant the spikelets will be. The facial smooth surface means that odd series are performed by the facial, and even by the wrong ones.

The seventh row. We close the central 20 loops. To do this, we sew 6 loops with the front ones. Then start closing in this way:

  • We put a working thread on the left knitting needle before knitting;
  • Remove the 11 loop from the left knitting needle to the right;
  • We throw 12 loops, so that the working thread is between the loops;
  • Close the broach 12 through 11 and remove the thread for the work;
  • We close the rest of the loops, we carry out this process by dragging the next loop through the previous one, without using the working thread.

Turn the knitting on the wrong side and type 20 loops.

We stretch the working thread between the knitting needles, turn the knitting and finish the seventh row with the facial smoothness.

Turn the knitting and perform the eighth row with the wrong loops.

Repeat the ranks from the first to the eighth to the desired length of the product.

Technology of dialing loops

The set can be conducted in any way that involves knitting with knitting needles, the Asian spikelet better supports this technique:

  • We move the two extreme loops on the left spoke;
  • We draw a working thread between them;
  • We put the thread on the left knitting needle and get the first loop;
  • In the same sequence, we collect another 20 loops;
  • Typed hinges must be connected to the main cloth, for this we use 21 loops, remove from the right knitting needle the extreme loop on the left and on top of it we sew 21 loops;
  • We return back to the right needle an extreme loop.

This technique of tying loops will give a more dense basis for the pattern of Asian spikelets than with a conventional set.

Assembly of the spikelet according to the first method of execution

When the canvas is tied to the required length, we proceed to create the spike itself.

We turn knitting, the Asian spikelet will be formed on the wrong side.

We take the extreme first and second bands and twist two times around each other, as a result we get the first loop of the spikelet.

In the resulting loop, stretch the next strip and get a second loop.

Such manipulations are repeated to the end of the canvas, during the formation it is necessary to stretch the loops to the base to obtain a beautiful spikelet.

Straighten the Asian spikelets, we sew the beginning and the end of the pattern so that it keeps the correct shape. If you are knitting a circular product, you can fasten the spikelets at the same time, or sew a button with the last buttonhole, with which you can separate the product if necessary.

Method of execution number 2

The length of the set will depend on how many knitting loops a single spikelet will knit. The number of typed loops will be a multiple of this digit. The standard blade size is 6 loops, which means that the number of loops should be a multiple of 6. But if desired, it can be varied. The number of loops in one element can be 4, and 8, and 10, basically it depends on the thickness of the yarn. Edge loops in this case are not additionally added, but enter the total number of typing. Consider the Asian spikelets (knitting needles), the knitting pattern of which is shown in the figure.

Execution of the obverse of the spikelet

We type on the spokes 18 loops.

We prepare the basis: the first row is knitted with the facial, and the second with the wrong one.

In the third row we start the Asian spikelet with knitting needles, the diagram describes the execution of the first blade, which will consist of 6 loops wide and ten rows in height. We remove the edge band and sew 5 loops with the front ones.

We turn knitting and we sew 6 loops with the purl.

Until the end of the blade element, we bind eight more rows in this technology. The first item is ready.

To go to the next element in the thirteenth row, we sew 6 loops on the right spoke plus 3 loops of the main blade on the left spoke.

Turn the knitting and in the fourteenth row we knit 6 loops with the backs, 3 the loops remain unintelligent on the knitting needles. Then we work again only on 6 loops.

We irradiate 8 rows, alternating the front and back rows.

On the twenty-third row, finish the second element and move to the third.

Further we continue the work by analogy with the previous series, and we perform all the elements of the pattern completely. When we reach the end of the canvas, on the left spoke we will have the last 6 loops, we will tie them all face, connecting them with the main work. The first side of the Asiatic spike pattern is ready. The scheme describes the execution of intermediate series. The first scheme will be the purl series, which will combine the elements of the blades into a single whole. After it, perform the front row. You can stop only these two series, and you can perform two more, as shown in this diagram. First, we'll tie up another purl and then the front row.

Execution of the back side of the spikelet

We proceed to the second half of the spikelet, for this we turn the product over to the wrong side, with which we will begin our work. This is done so that the blades of the second row of spikelets are directed in the opposite direction and the right Asian spikelet is obtained with knitting needles. The knitting scheme provides the same sequence, as in the case of facial work.

In the thirty-eighth we begin to perform the first element, we remove the edge element and we sew 5 loops with the backs.

We turn knitting and we sew 6 loops facing.

Until the end of the blade element, we sew eight more rows in this technology, alternating the sides and sides. The first item is ready.

To go to the next element, in the forty-eighth row we sew 6 loops on the right spoke plus 3 loops of the main blade on the left spoke, in the wrong way.

Turn the knitting and in the next row we knit 6 loops facing, 3 loops remain on the knitting needle not tied. Next, we perform work, only on 6 loops.

We send eight rows, alternating between the purl and face rows.

By completing these series, we finish the second element of the pattern of Asian spikelets. The diagram shows that further we leave 3 loops on the spoke and proceed to the third tying 6 of the back loops.

Repeat 38-48 series continue to perform the remaining elements, their number will be the same with the number obtained in the first front part.

Having reached the end of knitting, the last six loops will remain on the left knitting needle, they are all sewed with purlins, connecting them with the main work.

We connect all elements of the front and back rows. The second side of the spike is ready.

With proper observance of technology, each branch will look in different directions. If in your pattern the Asian spikelet is repeated many times, we begin to knit the next again from the front side of the product.
