As a man changed the Earth as a result of the development of society

From the very beginning of humanity and to this day people are quite active in transforming the planet. Moreover, these changes in the Earth by man are basically negative. Anthropogenic impact has occurred and is happening for more than one century and not even one millennium. Just in previous eras this activity was not so obvious and noticeable. Everything went gradually, depending on the pace of development of human society itself, science and technological progress, practical agriculture and industrial production. Let's and we will put all the dots over "and" in the question, as a man changed the Earth. What features of the environment as a result of this emerged, what kind of people's activities can be considered negative, and what - positive for our planet?

Subject: how did a person change the Earth?

A lot of scientific and journalistic works were written on this topic. Among them I want to mention Vernadsky's doctrine of the noosphere, which tells us that our planet is a single living entity, and each person has an influence on the biosphere of the Earth. Understanding of the noosphere as the highest step in the evolution of the biosphere, in which the rational activity of people is the determining factor, imposes on the enlightened representatives of society a certain responsibility for how a person has changed the Earth. By the way, Vernadsky called one of the conditions for the rational and correct existence of the noosphere a complete exclusion of the war from the activities of countries and societies. One can argue with some of the author's promises (as well as many other, already modern scientists and public figures), but one thing is clear: if in the near future people will not cease to use the bowels relentlessly, destroy forests and turn rivers, changing climatic conditions, humanity expects a real Physical collapse, until the destruction of most of it. So it is necessary to reconsider the consumer attitude to a question both to industrialists, and heads of many states.

Plan: How did a person change the Earth?

But events did not always develop as quickly as now, when procrastination has already become a death like that. It is possible to single out several time periods in the context of the question: how did the man change the Earth? The first of these was, perhaps, the longest period, when the transformations took place slowly and gradually, without having a global impact on the surrounding nature.

Primitive people

Approximately 50 thousand years ago, people learned to use natural gifts, mastered gathering and hunting. During these years, the human impact on the world around them was minimal and manifested in the fact that the primary natural materials were used practically without processing, and the food collected and extracted on the hunt did not affect the population of plants and animals. And there were not so many people on the planet at that time, and they simply could not have a significant impact on the general course of events. Man learned to adapt to nature, because the environment at that time was a certain danger for him.

Farmers and stockbreeders

Approximately 12 thousand years ago there is farming (presumably, in Turkey). Wheat, and then other cereals, were artificially grown and cultivated by humans. Many of them were obtained by selection. It is believed that agriculture in the context of the issue, as a man changed the Earth, had the most powerful impact on the environment in those days. Special treatment of soils included both deforestation, and dehumidification, and drainage, and irrigation.

Approximately at the same time there is also an animal husbandry. A person tames and domesticates some wild animals. People learn to breed and cross species that are most convenient for further use: in food (meat, milk), as clothing (skins, wool), as draft force. As a means of transportation, horses and camels had a huge impact on the development of trade between countries. Thus, people changed the world around them.

The Age of Material Processing

Over time, the first large states appear in different parts of the world. Uniting in cities, mankind learns to process materials donated by nature: stones and wood. Then - to melt metals. Numerous palaces, temples, settlements of people were connected by roads. Civilizations are moving forward with leaps and bounds. There are new branches of production. In this era in China, Egypt, America, for example, a person exerts a tremendous influence on the planet, extracting minerals, harvesting wood, cultivating fields and planting domestic animals. At the same time, according to scientists, there are still some minor harmful emissions into the Earth's atmosphere (as waste from the incipient production).

New time and era of the Great Discoveries

It is high time, characterized by high achievements in all spheres of science and life, when people realize themselves as the center of the universe, open new worlds. The connections between the continents are being established. Industrial production is expanding and the demands of humanity are increasing. And with the development of manufactories, a sharp increase in the consumption of natural resources began.

The newest time and the 21st century

In the XIX century there is a mass production, there is a radical change in the attitude of man to the planet, as a source of resources for industry. There is a massive and uncontrolled mining of minerals from the bowels. And such a barbarous attitude could not but affect the state of the environment. Such phenomena as global warming, large-scale pollution of the atmosphere, the changed level of the oceans and river bed are the troubles with which humanity met the XXI century. This text is also devoted to this text: how a person changed the Earth for the worse by its vital activity and thoughtless waste of natural resources.
