Areas of Russia - their diversity and features

The regions of Russia are territorial objects, of which there are altogether 46. Often, they are also included in the region - there are nine in Russia. There are 85 territorial entities in the country, each of which is distinguished by its climate and many other features.

Krasnoyarsk region

If we talk about the region of Russia, we can not fail to mention the Krasnoyarsk Territory. He is in the Siberian Federal District. Its administrative center (or capital) is the city of Krasnoyarsk. The region was founded in 1934, on December 7th. It is located next to the Irkutsk region and Yakutia.

Speaking about the Krasnoyarsk region, it is worth mentioning its climate. It is sharply continental, it is characterized by obvious temperature fluctuations observed during the year. It is very heterogeneous, and this is due to the large extent of the edge in the meridional direction. On its territory there are mainly three climatic zones - temperate, subarctic and Arctic. In the south, the period in which the temperature is kept above ten degrees is about 110-120 days, and in the north - 40 days. It should be noted that, despite the local hard climate, in the south of the edge is a very hot summer and a severely harsh winter. There are very favorable conditions for accommodation of recreation centers, sanatoriums and resorts - indeed, in this area there is a mass of healing springs.

Map of Russia by regions and their characteristics

The Russian Federation is a state with a special administrative-territorial division. In its structure there are also regions, and territories, and republics, and autonomous regions. There are also special cities with the status of federal significance. There are only three of them - the recently added Sevastopol, proudly returning to its deserved title, Moscow and St. Petersburg. Not so long ago, namely, until March 17, 2014, the Russian Federation included 83 subjects. This region of Russia, the region and all of the above. But not so long ago, Russia was added two more subjects - the above-mentioned hero city Sevastopol and the Republic of Crimea, which lost its status as an autonomous city. It should be noted that many confuse the concept of the region and the edge, and also do not quite understand their difference. But it should be said that there are no special differences. After all, all the constituent entities of the Russian Federation are equal parts of the same large state and are subject to the same laws.

The cultural capital

As already mentioned, Russia has three cities of federal significance . The Leningrad region on its territory has one of these cities. This area is located in the north-western part of the country. It occupies about 0.5% of the total area of the Russian Federation, which earned 39th place in the country's ranking in terms of scale. In the north, the Leningrad Region borders with Karelia, in the east - with the Vologda region, in the southeast - with the Novgorod, and in the south - with the Pskov.

It is impossible not to note the attention of St. Petersburg. It is a city with a great history. It has very extensive external relations, it is in St. Petersburg that various events and cultural days of other countries are held. What to say - by 2011, St. Petersburg had already 79 twin cities.

Krasnodar region

Speaking about the region of Russia and its region, one can not ignore the Krasnodar Territory. This is the exact opposite of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. It is located in the very south of the Russian Federation and is washed by the Azov and Black Seas. In the Krasnodar Territory, the temperate continental climate is combined with the semi-dry Mediterranean and humid subtropical climate. It is in this area of mild winters and hot summers.
