However, some artists manage to stay on the scene for several decades. Among them is Andrei Knyazev, a famous musician and poet.

General biographical information

Andrey was born on February 6, 1973 in a prosperous family. Parents not only paid enough attention to the son's education, but also sought to develop his talents and from the earliest childhood he considered the boy gifted. Andrei Knyazev always drew well, often himself invented some unusual fantastic stories. His parents believed that their son would someday become a famous artist. However, fate decreed otherwise. Already after the end of the 8th grade of the general education school, Andrei enters the restoration school and it is there that he meets Mikhail Gorshenev.

"King and the Clown"

All-Russian fame Andrei Knyazev, who is also known under the nickname Prince, received thanks to his work in the cult musical group "The King and the Jester". Gorshenev tried to gather his musical group and play something informal, and before that fateful meeting with a talented classmate. But this dream was realized to the full extent precisely in co-authorship with the Prince. It's simple - the Pot (Gorshenev) wrote music, and Andrei - poetry. The combination of aggressive punk rock and the original terrible "fairy tales" in the texts is the corporate style of the collective. The foundation date for the band "King and the Jester" is 1988. In the whole history musicians have changed, scandals and short-term quarrels between the two leaders have happened, but, in spite of all these trifles, the Prince and the Pot continued to delight the fans with new albums and concerts.

A new group of Andrei Knyazev

From the very beginning of the joint work between the Prince and the Pot, there were some disagreements. Andrei considers himself to be a romantic, and has always been inclined to create more lyrical texts with a rather melodious musical accompaniment. While Michael, by contrast, loved aggressive and harsh melodies and related texts. Even while working in the band "The King and the Shut" Andrei Knyazev manages to record solo compositions and even publishes his own album. However, it does not distract from the main project. But in 2011 the Prince officially announces his retirement from the "King and the Jester" and creates a new project called "Prince" with the original writing - at the end the double English letter Z instead of the correct "z". This collective exists and today, new compositions and albums are recorded, concerts are regularly held.

The legendary "King and the Jester" existed for some time without Andrei, and finally the group ceased to exist in 2014 due to the death of its leader, Mikhail Gorshenev. What is remarkable, the Prince, who came to music as a poet and author of texts, quickly learned to play the guitar and sing. Today he not only writes poetry for his songs, but also music, and is also the leader and vocalist of his band.

Personal life and interesting facts

Despite the vivid scenic image of punk and anarchist, Andrei Knyazev, whose songs the whole country knows by heart, is a calm, modest and somewhat withdrawn person in life. He is used to his popularity, but still does not like to be recognized on the street and begin to pester with questions. However, to the fans the Prince is supportive, never refuses requests to give an autograph.

Today, Andrei is married for the second time, his wife - Agata Nigrovskaya. The couple is growing up a joint daughter Alice, born on October 12, 2010. There is Knyazev and another child from his first marriage with Alena Isayeva, also a girl - Diana (born December 12, 2005). Close people characterize the Prince as a gentle, kind, fair and very responsive person.

In addition to the main musical creativity, Andrei does not forget about his artistic talent. As part of the "King and the Jester", he personally dealt with the design of covers of music albums. However, poems for the Prince were always much more important, and that the most interesting - for a long time the main critic was his mother.
