Aircraft AN-148-100: the best seats in the salon, photo

The aircraft building concern of Ukraine - Antonov ANTK - together with the enterprises of Russia and other countries of the world created a family of reactive twin-engine regional aircraft, which received the marking An-148-100 (photo is presented in the article). These airliners are high-tech competitive aircraft, meeting all modern world requirements, environmental and safety standards, as well as the wishes of companies engaged in air transportation of passengers. An-148-100 aircraft is designed for passenger and freight traffic on the main and regional lines.

Family and modifications

The An-148-100 family of airliners consists of three variants for 68-85 passengers: A is a version of a short-range passenger liner (up to 3000 kilometers); B - basic modification, differs from the previous only by the flight range (up to 3600 km); E - is characterized by an increased range (up to 5000 kilometers). In addition, there are six modifications of this aircraft: increased passenger capacity; With the maximum level of comfort for passengers; Cargo-and-passenger; Cargo with side door; Cargo with a rear hatch-ramp; Special purpose.

History of creation. Stage One

In the early 90s of the last century in the design bureau named after Antonov OK , work was begun on the design of a new passenger airplane - An-148-100 (photos shown in the article show this airliner). The new car was supposed to replace the obsolete An-24, An-72, An-74, Yak-40, Yak-42 and Tu-134. The development team was engaged in a team of engineers led by P. Baluyev. The predecessor of the new model, the AN-74, was designed as a cargo transport liner and was not adapted for the comfortable transportation of passengers. Even after removing the power units under the wing to the pylon, which increased fuel efficiency, it could not compete with a number of modern regional aircraft of the same passenger capacity.

In this situation, the company's management has decided to create a completely new passenger airbus that meets all the requirements of the present.

Stage Two

Initially, this project was called An-74-68. The new aircraft featured a wing shape, an elongated fuselage, a fifth-series engine with a fundamentally new reverse design. However, the economic crisis delayed the birth of this aircraft. And only in 2001 the stage of working design of the liner began. Now the project had a new name - An-148. The concept of the An-74 TK-300 airliner was taken as a basis, however, the An-148-100 (photo) is an apparatus completely created from scratch, and is not yet another modification of the AN-74. It has increased the length and diameter of the fuselage, a new design and power scheme of the wing, modern economical power units equipped with an electronic control system. The first flight tests of An-148-100 began in late 2004. And on June 2, 2009 the first flight flight of a new airliner on the route Kharkiv - Kiev took place. Two months later the first An-148-100 Russian assembly was launched into the sky.

Testing

Three months after the first flight of the An-148-100 test model, the aircraft confirmed all calculated flight characteristics under conditions of large angles of attack. The aircraft was taken to stalling modes at various heights. This was done to check the additional load of the chassis and wing mechanization elements, which are typical for the various stages of the passenger airliner's flight. Almost for any AN-148-100 configurations (the experts' feedback confirms this) demonstrated quite clear, naturally distinguishable features that lead to stalling. The behavior of the liner in critical flight regimes proved to be very favorable, it complied with all the requirements of aviation regulations.

Certification

On February 26, 2007, the new aircraft, its engine and auxiliary power unit received certificates from the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine and the Aviation Register of the Interstate Aviation Committee. Certification of the airliner was carried out in accordance with the provisions of the certification basis SB-148, developed on the basis of aviation requirements and rules of the CIS (AP-25), as well as European CS-25. The aircraft meets the requirements of section 4 of Annex 16 to the Convention on International Civil Aviation (Volume 1 "Aviation noise", as amended on the 7th inclusive) and to the requirements of Part 36 of the Aviation Rules AP-36. In terms of emissions, the requirements of the relevant section of Annex 16 to the Convention on International Civil Aviation (Volume 2 "Emission of aircraft engines", as amended by the fourth inclusive) and the requirements of the Aviation Regulations AP-34.

Design solutions

Let's consider what innovative solutions that provide a number of advantages for new airliners, are realized in aircraft of this family by Antonov Design Bureau engineers. An-148-100 has a high level of protection of the wing and power units from damage by foreign objects. This is due to the layout of the device - a high-wing with engines under the wing on the pylons. In addition, the aircraft of this series can work safely on various types of runways, including poorly prepared, unpaved, gravel, ice and snow. In addition, the presence of an on-board system that registers the status of systems, and an auxiliary power plant, as well as a fairly high level of reliability and usability, makes it possible to use airliners of this family at any aerodrome. The convenient arrangement of underground cargo compartments allows loading and unloading of luggage without special cargo ground facilities.

Powertrains

For the aircraft of this family, a new fifth-generation D-436-148 engine was developed in the state enterprise Ivchenko-Progress. This power unit is equipped with a number of systems that provide automatic control and monitoring. They ensure the optimum operation of the engines on all sections of the flight, in addition, increase reliability, as well as reduce the cost of maintenance and fuel consumption. The power units An-148-100 meet modern requirements of Eurocontrol and ICAO. Their claimed resource is 20 thousand cycles and 40 thousand hours of operation. At the request of the customer aircraft of this family can also be equipped with modern engines of foreign production with thrust no more than 8000 kgf.

Equipment

Modern navigational, flight and radio communication equipment, as well as the use of the electronic remote control system of the airbus flight and multifunctional indicators, allow using these aircraft on any air routes, including on routes with a rather high flight intensity, day and night, both in simple And in difficult weather conditions. An-148-100 provides both manual and automatic air navigation. The autopilot allows you to program the necessary routes, an automatic approach approach in accordance with ICAO categories I, II and III A, horizontal and vertical navigation, takeoff and landing using the STAR and SID schemes. The equipment performs automatic monitoring of the state of all systems in flight and on earth with subsequent issuance of information to technical personnel and the crew of the aircraft.

Security

The family of these aircraft provides a set of measures for aviation security. For example, the crew cabin is equipped with bullet-proof doors, flight attendant and crew communication devices, a place for storing ammunition and weapons, a video surveillance system, a place for placing explosive devices in the event of their presence on board in flight, anti-theft devices.

Salon

The comfort of the passenger compartment of the aircraft of this family corresponds to the comfort level of modern mainline liners. In particular, such a result is achieved due to rational layout, as well as the composition of service rooms, the use of modern armchairs, materials and interior design, ergonomic optimization of individual and general space, and, of course, low noise. For the entertainment of passengers, a modern information and entertainment system is installed in the cabin. Hand luggage is located in a special lockable luggage shelves, distinguished by an impressive volume - total 4.2 cubic meters. The size of the shelves differs depending on the modification of the aircraft. The largest - in the short-haul and regional airliners. The total volume of luggage and cargo compartments An-148, located in the tail section and under the floor of the passenger cabin of the aircraft - 14.6 cubic meters.

An-148-100 - interior layout

The layout of the passenger cabin of this airliner is designed for transportation from 68 to 85 people. The aircraft is allocated from eight to ten seats for business class, the rest - for the economy. The layout of the seats (shown in the photo above) in the business class is two in a row on each side of the aircraft. In the cabin of the economy class there are three seats in a row on one side and two on the other. Above each are shelves for hand luggage. The distance between the rows in the economy class of the airliner is designed for the growth of the average person (so that the knees of the passenger do not rest on the back of the next chair, but for people with a height above the average there will be some uncomfortable.) Over each seat there are buttons for lighting control, air conditioning controller, light-signal panel and call the flight attendant According to the passengers' reviews, in the An-148-100 plane the best places in the economy class are at the window on the left side of the board (a row of two seats).

Reviews

As always, in this case, the responses of people vary, sometimes they are even diametrically opposed. Someone argues that the aircraft is very comfortable, the flight passes in silence, take-off and landing are soft. And others argue that the noise of the engines is quite high, when taking off and landing, the plane shakes violently, and declare that it's much better to fly on old An-24s. How many people - so many opinions. Therefore, if you want to compose your own, use the services of air carriers and compare the sensations.

Conclusion

Despite their relative youth, these aircraft have firmly established their niche on regional air routes not only in the CIS countries, but also in the states of Europe and Asia. Planes An-148-100 "Aeroflot", "Russia", "Angara" and other companies of passenger air transportation are purchased to replace obsolete Tu-134 and others. An-148 meets all modern requirements of safety, economy and comfort. All these qualities have become the main factors, thanks to which companies prefer this particular model.
