Abstract: Platonov "Fro", analysis of the work

Among the works of the native creators of the artistic word, Platonov's work was distinguished by an unusual combination of realism and sublime romantic ideas. In the center of each of his works is the hero and his thoughts, experiences. A vivid example is the story "Fro". In it the author reveals the inner world of the common man, shows how far the closest people can be even against the background of high national ideas. This article provides an analysis of the work and its brief content. Plato's "Fro" is presented as a book about a small man and his great tragedy.

Idea and story of writing

In the world there are sometimes significant changes. There are people who can not stay away and rush into the maelstrom of events headlong. But such a little. Most of them care only about their own uncomplicated happiness. What are they to the great historical achievements, the consequences of which will manifest themselves in a hundred, or even two hundred years? After all, you need to live now and here. This issue is devoted to a short story by one of the most sad Soviet authors. The following is a summary.

Plato's "Fro" created at the height of Stalin's repressions, in 1937. By this time, the writer's mind has developed a clear idea of what the policy of power is leading to, and how great is the sacrifice that is brought to the altar of the great socialist idea. And if in the early works of Platonov there was a naive romantic faith in the creation of a new man, by the end of the thirties he created a series of works, in the center of which were the fates of ordinary people. The image of a small person becomes the main thing at this stage of creativity.

Summary (Platonov, "Fro")

The history of one simple working family is described. Father worked all his life as a mechanic, but when he reached old age, he was retired. Not knowing what is behind this, he took these changes first without resistance. But a few days later he began to appear on the workplace, helping former colleagues with valuable advice and empathizing with their work process. On the railroad over the active old man, however, he took pity on the boss and arranged the newly-made pensioner as a backup mechanic.

The daughter was absorbed only by her love for her husband. The name "Fro" is named after her. Platonov gave almost no description of the husband of the main character, saying only that he left her indefinitely, going to distant lands to build the future. But it is known that he was a very educated man and somehow even dictated to his wife a lot of clever phrases, which she wrote down in a notebook, and then used it in conversation, sometimes to the place, but more often out of place.

Father Frosya was annoyed, because he was in a hurry to miss his beloved. AP Platonov in this story revealed the inner world of the protagonists, almost without saying anything about their thoughts and plans. Their actions are enough to understand the depth of loneliness, from which they suffer, being together. The husband left Frosya twice, and she did not see or consider it necessary to notice her father's care and love in her suffering. This is the summary.

Plato's "Fro" offers the reader as a deep philosophical work. The stories of this author are set out in such a subtle manner that one can understand their idea only after a complete reading. In addition, the images that Platonov created in the story "Fro" have an extraordinary truthfulness.

Analysis

In this story, the theme of labor occupies a special place. On the example of Father Frossey, the writer emphasizes the need for a person in any activity. The old man lives in his working world. Do not work for him - then do not live. And, becoming a backup mechanic, he constantly resides in anticipation of a night call, without removing even at night a thick winter jacket and hats with a locomotive icon.

Yes, and Frosya, longing for her husband, undertakes to help the work team rake the slag pit. This work is difficult, but it is the only way to muffle the mental pain that does not leave it since the departure of a loved one.

Father and daughter

They live in the same house, but have become strangers to each other. The father takes care of his daughter and strives in every way to establish a conversation with her. But Frosya is not able to see and appreciate his father's love. In exasperation she says: "You are tired, you would have gone to the Far East!". The father does not take offense, he knows that children should not be angry. However, being alone with himself, he bitterly laments over the pastry pot of yesterday.

AP Platonov depicted in this story a love that remains unnoticed because of some lofty ideas or feelings. Frosya's husband throws and goes to the Far East. His ideas are more important than any family happiness. But even Frosya loves so much that she does not notice the suffering of her father, the only person close to her.
