A good movie about WWII

Touching, dramatic, filled with patriotism - all this can be said about the movie about the Great Patriotic War. Russia and other countries of the Soviet Union have filmed many films, the characters of which showed great courage and dignifiedly survived the terrible times. Which tapes of the Great Patriotic War are worth seeing? And what pictures of the military life of the 40's will most impress the viewer?

Cinema about WWII: "A dawn here are quiet"

Who does not know this touching story of the five female volunteers who tried to cope with the sixteen well-trained German intelligence officers? At least in Soviet times the plot of the picture "The Dawns Here Are Quiet" was known by heart.

Near to one of the Karelian railroad tracks, near the location of the Soviet troops, Germans appear to be saboteurs. The railway junction is guarded by the sergeant Fedot Vaskov and his detachment of volunteer girls.

Vaskov takes the top five of his subordinates and moves forward to meet the saboteurs. But it turns out that the Germans are not two, but sixteen. The girl, sent out for help, perishes by an absurd accident in the swamp. And the others are killed by the number of superior opponents. Fedot Vaskov loses his charges, which, by and large, still have to live and live. However, the victim was not in vain: diversion still managed to be prevented.

So usually a good movie about WWII ends: it gives at least a drop of hope for a better future and makes us appreciate what we now have.

"Only old men go to battle"

A movie about the Second World War, which entered the gold collection of Soviet cinema, is a drama "Some Old Men Are Going to Battle," directed by Leonid Bykov.

This time the action is transferred somewhere to the Ukrainian border. Just go battles for the liberation of the Ukrainian SSR. The main characters of the picture are fighter pilots who daily make attacks on transport and strategic targets of the enemy. The head of the squadron is an optimist and an untiring joker, Captain Titarenko. There comes to him the replenishment of the boys who just finished school. And the comassian will have to make considerable efforts to raise soldiers from them.

The film is filled with light humor, beautiful songs, but, of course, there were dramatic events. There was also a place for a romantic story that ended in the spirit of wartime: he and she were killed almost in one day.

"Battalions ask for fire"

Another movie about WWII, which leaves few people indifferent, is a military film "Battalions ask for fire". In this picture, such stars of the Soviet screen as Oleg Efremov, Alexander Zbruev, Nikolai Karachentsov and Igor Sklyar were shot.

The action of this tape unfolds just in time forcing the Dnieper south of Kiev. One of the battalions of the 85th Regiment is ordered to take a bridgehead with a battle, which will later be used for the offensive. However, when the fighters got involved in the battle, the command plans changed dramatically, and the fire artillery was withdrawn to another location. So the soldiers were left alone with the Germans without a fire cover and fought to the last, carrying out the order given them.

"Seventeen Moments of Spring"

A movie about the Second World War, which has become truly a cult, is, of course, an espionage picture "Seventeen Moments of Spring". The film consists of 12 series. Events in it evolve in a measured way, but this does not make the plot less interesting.

Director Tatyana Lioznova collected all the colors of Soviet cinema in this project: Vyacheslav Tikhonov and Leonid Bronevoy, Valentin Gaft and Oleg Tabakov, Ekaterina Gradov and Lev Durov, Evgeny Evstigneev and many other talented actors.

The action takes place on the territory of Germany. In circles close to Hitler, a "mole", a Soviet intelligence officer hiding under the name of Max Otto von Stirlitz, was wound up. Every time, trying to convey information to the rate of Russian intelligence forces or to save captured Soviet intelligence officers, Stirlitz is very at risk. But his natural cunning and endurance help the standartenfuhrer get out of the water.

"Twenty days without war"

A talented writer Konstantin Simonov once created a touching script, whose hero was a regular military journalist, Major Vasily Lopatin. For the implementation of this scenario in the film took in 1975, director Alexei German. Thus appeared the tape "Twenty Days Without War", in which the main roles were played by Yuri Nikulin and Lyudmila Gurchenko.

The picture tells of twenty happy days of vacation, which were allocated to the military journalist Lopatin in the midst of military operations. Vasily goes to the city of Tashkent, where his friends and acquaintances who are in evacuation live, and where the real film takes place, the script of which was written by Lopatin at the front. The tape is filled with impressive details about the life of people in evacuation, which sometimes experienced an unthinkable hunger and worked in the factories 24 hours a day to provide for the needs of the front.

"Brest Fortress"

"Brest Fortress" - the creation of the modern director Alexander Kott, released in theaters in 2010. The title is easy to guess that the director tries to cover in his film the events of June 1941, when the Germans moved to the borders of the Soviet Union. The first and most powerful blow fell on border outposts, one of which was called the Brest Fortress. Trying to defend his post, all the soldiers who were at the outpost were killed, waiting for reinforcements.

The film starred such famous actors as Pavel Derevyanko, Andrei Merzlikin and Evgeny Tsyganov.

"Saboteur"

Perhaps the most fascinating films are a movie about WWII scouts. Modern Russian television in the person of the TV channel "Russia-1" has shot on this topic a terrific adventure film based on the novel by Anatoly Azolsky. It's about the film "Saboteur".

The main characters of the adventure cycle - this is the reconnaissance group of Captain Kaltygin, consisting of three fighters. Each of the guys has its own story, its own unique character. But together they go on the most difficult tasks and try to act as one. The film is one of the best screen works of the actor Vladislav Galkin.

Documentary films about WWII are shot almost every year. True, television channels of different countries try to interpret the same events in their own way. Among all the documentary works released, the projects of the Zvezda TV channel, specializing in military subjects, are considered particularly interesting and informative.
