10 facts about the series "Game of Thrones", which will surprise you

"The Game of Thrones" has been on the tops of the best TV series for years now, but how much do you know about this show, even if you consider yourself a true fan?

The series is known for adult content, but does that mean that it does not have what is hidden behind the scenes?

We suggest that you learn 10 facts about the series "Game of Thrones", because of which your interest in the series will only increase.

1. There is an unsuccessful pilot episode of the 2009 series

The creators of the show even two years before the release of the "Games" aired so bad a pilot that some viewers of the focus group did not even understand that Jame and Cersei are a brother and sister. Therefore, the script was rewritten, regrouped, took the other actors and removed the pilot again. We all know what came of it.

2. The show saved the breed of pigs

Sounds weird? Nevertheless, this is a fact.

Kenny Gracie, a farmer from Northern Ireland, attributes the "Game of Thrones" to the preservation of a rare breed of Iron Age pigs. Agriculture has become very unprofitable, but the show needed animals of this kind, so that both he and Kenny were very fortunate. The means that the farmer receives from shooting his pigs, goats, sheep and chickens, literally saved his farm.

3. The Dotrakian language now exists

Linguist David Peterson has created an extensive language course for studying "Dotraquin," a language he himself coined for the series. Yes, you can learn to speak as if you yourself were born in the Dothraki Sea!

4. "Gray Hole" is based on real diseases

Symptoms of "gray sickness" from the series (and books) are very similar to leprosy, when the skin becomes scaly, gray, and a person becomes an outcast.

However, there is another disease that actually turns the patient into stone. Fibrodysplasia causes a failure in the recovery of bone tissue, which causes muscles and other tissues to become bone, making movements impossible.

In one person, Harry Raymond Eastlake, the disease developed to such an extent that he could only move his lips by the time he died at the age of 39.

5. Stomach of Emilia Clark did not have contact with the "heart"

The character of Emilia, Deyeneris Targarien, was supposed to eat the real heart of a horse, which Clarke herself did not have to do. But she was given a not very pleasant dish of gum-like substance, covered with fake blood. It seems not very appetizing, it tastes, apparently, too, because it was not the best day of the actress on the set.

6. John Snow was able to play Ivan Rehn

Ivan Rehn, who is now well known as Ramsey Snow, almost got the role of John. But now the actor can boast of one of the most disgusting roles on television. Well, Ramsey's character is really not very good, is it?

7. Peter Dinklage does not eat meat

The actor who played Tirion Lannister is a vegetarian, so all the meat he eats in the frame is made of tofu and other non-animal products. Added the same work to the team creating props!

8. Many of the caste and the creators of the show did not read the book

While the fans read out the "Song of Ice and Flame", some actors and members of the crew did not bother to do it themselves. However, they have their own reasons - to avoid spoilers about the fate of their hero.

9. The dragons of the Daeneris were inspired by the geese

Creators of creatures looked at the movements of geese, bats and even cats in the modeling of dragons for the "Game of Thrones." Geese inspired the movement of dragons when they are on earth, while the flight of mythical creatures was "drawn" from bats.

And when the dragons are calm or when Deeneris strokes them, the artists mimic the behavior of domestic cats.

10. The role of Arya Stark was the first for Macy Williams

Can you imagine a better first role than in one of the best TV series in the history of television? Before acting, Macy studied (and still studies) vocals and dance and hopes to show these talents.
