Vivisection is what? The meaning of the word "vivisection"

Are you familiar with the term "vivisection"? You probably heard this word more than once. Someone will probably remember a music band with that name, and someone will say that there is a computer game of the same name. For sure, there will be those who will argue that the concept of vivisection is a medical term, or rather, a pathoanatomical term - the so-called actions in which an autopsy is being performed for the structural study of organs or the establishment of the cause of death. None of these statements is true, and it's just that every one of us must know what it really is.

Vivisection - what does this mean?

Briefly, vivisection is an experiment on animals. Vivisection (the meaning of the word in Latin) originated from vivus (live) and sectio (cut or dissect), that is, "cut alive". Therefore, to be honest, these are monstrous experiments on animals, during which they are doused (alive and conscious) with acid, burned with fire, frozen, placed in vacuum chambers, made an autopsy, and this list can be prolonged indefinitely. Yes, perhaps, what you just read has made you start. In our country they do not advertise and practically do not talk about what is happening in the walls of scientific laboratories. After all, no matter what happens, everything is for the benefit of us, people, and we somehow do not particularly understand the details. But in Europe, everyone knows about this, and they are actively fighting to ban vivisection. And it must be said that not only love for animals pushes them to this step. And what then? Let's figure it out ourselves, because it's really important to know.

Secrets of laboratories

Why do we need vivisection? Carry it out in order to understand how the animal's organism behaves under the influence of any factors. In this case, the animal should be in its natural state, the introduction of painkillers, sedatives or any other drugs is not allowed, with rare exceptions. For example, in order to find out how much a living organism can live without medical assistance in case of a chemical burn of 80% of the body, the animal is poured with acid and ... is left to die slowly. A few dozens of such experiments are carried out, and the total life expectancy in each particular case is deduced.

For the benefit of mankind

Hundreds of thousands of animals die every day in many countries: they are drowned, poisoned, broken by bones, burned by the eyes, they are thirsted and starved, they are shocked, they are skinned, they are not allowed to sleep, they inject poisons, infect viruses, test new weapons , Medicines, cosmetics, the effects of alcohol and nicotine, cause aggression, lead to insanity and much, much more. Over the past 20 years, a huge number of animals have undergone vivisection, this number is several times greater than the human losses for all the survivors of war in the world combined.

It is unfortunate that often the notion that animals are biomass, which is created only for human convenience, is poured into the minds of people , it has no feelings, no reason, no emotions. We, people are the crown of development and there is no one stronger than us, more important, more reasonable ... But is it so?

Withdrew from production?

You once again go to the pharmacy to buy a medicine, but a surprise awaits you: "It's not - production was banned. Take this, "says the pharmacist, holding out an unfamiliar little box. Why is this happening? And after all the list of the forbidden medicines is not too small, here only some, in a reminder:

  • "Thalidomide" (soothing) causes the pathology of fetal development, about 10 thousand children were born with physical abnormalities;
  • "Lariam" (antimalarial drug) causes mental disorders;
  • "Vioxx" (anesthetic) disrupts the cardiovascular system, caused fatal outcomes;
  • "Baycol" (to reduce cholesterol) caused the death of 100 people;
  • "Citramon-R" caused a sharp drop in blood sugar.

All these preparations were tested on animals and did not cause absolutely no deviations, that is they were completely safe. What happened, is it the negligence of doctors?

Horse & Nicotine

Many scientists are well aware and do not deny that using vivisection is a waste of time and money. With this, everything is quite simple: people and experimental rats (cats, dogs, pigs, frogs and others) are completely different. We differ anatomically, physiologically, but what is good to one, the other - death. Each of us has our sores, then, what we suffer from, does not affect animals and vice versa. It has long been known that a drop of nicotine can kill a horse, cat owners know that their pet can easily destroy ordinary Aspirin, and it's better to hide valerian far away, and Omeprazole acts on rats as a carcinogen. And it's not entirely reasonable to smear rabbits with tanning cream, considering them and our skins. Animals are not obese, do not use drugs, alcohol, do not suffer from Alzheimer's disease, do not know what migraines are. We even live at times in different ecosystems, eat differently, we have different immunity, metabolism, the environment, life expectancy. It is impossible to treat a person with the medicine that helped the dog, and be sure that it will not hurt. To have a guarantee, people should be vivisected, but not animals.

Business

Where there is money, at times there is absolutely no common sense, and the more money there is, the more depressing the situation. Experiences in animals give colossal income. Manufacturers are willing to pay heavily to ensure that their products are recognized as useful and safe. And for this you need to go through a lot of tests, the testing of a single drug can take years. This requires expensive equipment, protective equipment for personnel, the personnel themselves, and these are thousands of jobs. And the subjects themselves need a lot. Laboratory rats should be grown in perfect sanitary conditions, with monkeys, the situation is the same, and they are very expensive - someone gets a lot of money. But the most terrible thing is the payment at the cost of the lives of our smaller brothers, and often our own.

VIVISECTION IN PEOPLE

Vivisection of living people is something of a fantasy field. But, unfortunately, history also remembers such cases. Basically, these were concentration camps, prisoners or just stolen people, and more often children. Hundreds of thousands of people caught in a war-time grinder were subjected to the most severe torture, whose name is vivisection. Photos and some records of that time about the "work" done have reached us. But let's not go into history, but rather look into the future.

In many countries of the world they refused such tests already many decades ago, because they are really dangerous. Respectful manufacturers refuse such experiments and often point to the label - "the product has not been tested on animals." Today, the animal rights societies of many states are actively working to eradicate vivisection. It has long been found an excellent alternative - research on human tissues.

For many hundreds of years, mankind has gained immense knowledge about his health and body. And for new discoveries, there is an excellent solution - testing computer models that were created on the basis of human cells. Methods have been developed that can detect the toxicity of substances with the help of a normal egg, and for some, only one drop of blood is enough. Humanity has studied the field of genetics, which allows testing on human modules. The only thing that is needed today is to develop and maintain such a science. With her help, a lot of new high-precision discoveries have already been made, and most importantly - there is no need to kill anyone else for this.

Vivisection is the reverse side of our life, it is not accepted to talk about it, but it must be done without fail. We should adopt the experience of other states and make sure that such practice becomes a remnant of the past as soon as possible in our country. Today, many new diseases arise, oncology grows exponentially, infertility often develops and many other problems arise. Bad ecology? Yes, perhaps, but there are many other factors that we just do not know about or do not want to know about.
