Vaccination of ADA with anatoxin

Today, vaccination is the most widely used means of specific prevention of certain diseases. Successful use of weakened antibodies of infectious agents allowed us to talk about the vaccine control of certain diseases. Some of them were completely eradicated from the modern list of emerging infectious diseases.

Many residents argue about the need for vaccination, question its effectiveness and try in every possible way to slander the drugs used. However, every educated physician knows and understands the need for vaccination at the present stage.

Currently, there is a whole list of infections with an indication of the exact time of vaccination and a description of all possible options and deviations - the scheme of preventive vaccinations. Today in the country, a mandatory calendar of these kinds of events is introduced, which ensures regulation of the introduction of vaccines of a certain list of infections. All of them, included in the calendar of mandatory preventive vaccinations, are vaccine-controlled. This means that vaccination controls the course of infectious diseases at a sporadic level, preventing the formation of large outbreaks.

Qualitative and timely immunization ensures a reduction in the incidence of this pathogen. Speaking about this process, it is worth mentioning one of the most frequently used vaccines - DTP (ADS and one of its variants - ADS-M).

It is used for the prevention of pertussis, tetanus and diphtheria. ADS is used to vaccinate against the pathogens of the last two infections. Isolated (mono) vaccines are used to vaccinate a patient from one infection.

ADS M anatoxin is a mixture of tetanus and diphtheria toxoids with a reduced (in comparison with ADS) antigens. "M" means - low-value, which indicates a reduced content of antigens in the preparation. The amount of toxoid in the preparation is determined by the content of flocculating units. Only one milliliter of the drug ad-m contains ten such units, nine of which are tetanus toxoid and one - diphtheria. As a preservative, a mercaptolate with a concentration of 0.01% is used.

Vaccination ADS M is administered to children at the age of six, adolescents and adults. Enter the vaccine in an amount of 0.5 milliliters subcutaneously or intramuscularly. This drug is used according to the calendar of preventive vaccinations for revaccination at the age of seven and sixteen years, then every ten years to sixty-six years of age.

When is ADH M vaccinated?

A low-risk vaccine is used (with a reduced content of anatoxins) in the case when the organism of the vaccinated is weakened for one reason or another. The introduction of ADS with a normal antibody content in this case is capable of causing the disease on its own. In addition, the reason for using a low-dose vaccine preparation is a small time interval between the use of drugs. So for urgent immunization of a non-vaccinated adult, it is carried out three times with immunization intervals with the introduction of vaccines in three months.

There are a number of cases when the introduction of ADA M is justified, they are all set out in the medical documentation on the procedure for conducting preventive vaccination.

Thus, vaccination at the current stage of medical development is an excellent opportunity to contain outbreaks of infectious diseases, where ADS M has proved to be a quality and effective drug for preventing the development of diphtheria and tetanus.
