U-turns at the crossroads

Many drivers can not always correctly perform certain maneuvers on a particular section of the road. This is due to the fact that they not only do not have certain driving skills, but also did not fully understand the regulatory framework when obtaining a driving license. We will not delve into all the subtleties and nuances of such maneuvers, but only consider a turn at a crossroads in conditions of intensive urban traffic. We will also take into account the fact that intersections can be either adjustable or unregulated, which will make certain adjustments when maneuvering. It should be noted at once that a turn at an unregulated intersection is a bit more complicated, but with certain skills it should not cause difficulties.

So, the turn at the intersection must be made along the optimal trajectory, which will not create any visible interference to other road users. This rule applies to all vehicles, and road users can be understood not only cars, but also bicycles, mopeds and even pedestrians, slowly passing the road. Naturally, at an unregulated intersection when trying to turn, the driver is obliged to make sure of the safety of his maneuver and to prevent collision with other cars that pass in the same direction as he did after maneuvering. Strictly speaking, this is all the complexity, since at the regulated intersection almost all major traffic flows are marked by traffic lights. But not always ...

Before turning, the driver is obliged to take the left row in a timely manner, turn on the left flashing beacon, pass the oncoming traffic and possible pedestrians, and then finish the maneuver. In this case, do not necessarily go to the middle of the roadway, because you can be formed by a long queue of cars that want to turn left, but do not turn around. It is necessary to plan the turn at the intersection in advance and choose a trajectory so that you do not travel to adjacent traffic lanes in a perpendicular direction. Such a maneuver can attract the attention of traffic police, who can not always prove their case. Although the situation is completely different, and police officers can also make mistakes, but they admit their mistakes very rarely - almost never.

We go further. Each driver must clearly understand that, sitting behind the wheel of his car, he is already becoming a potential offender, since in an ideal traffic rules you can know, but sticking to them sometimes is not very easy. If you want to make a turn at a crossroads, but you have any doubts about the correctness of your decision, it's better to turn around in another place or turn somewhere in the yard to change the direction of traffic there. Incorrect actions of the driver on the carriageway during a turn cause many traffic accidents. Even if you simply create an emergency on the road, you can easily lose your driving license for a certain period.

It is worth remembering that an incorrect turn at an intersection with a dividing strip can bring you not only penalties (from 1000 to 1500 rubles), but also a lot of time and nerves spent, while a well-designed maneuver will allow you to quickly and easily pass any intersection, Not giving yourself and others inconveniences. At the end of the article, you need to add that if you do not fit into the planned reversal path, just give it back a bit. Of course, you, perhaps, will be punished by police officers, but the amount of the penalty will be incommensurably less than for the wrong passage of the intersection (the penalty for driving backward at the crossroads is only 100 rubles). Always follow the rapidly changing traffic situation - and you will never get into an unpleasant situation!
