The very first anime in history

In our country anime is a prerequisite for the emergence of a subculture, in Japan - a special segment of the economy that brings good revenue to the state treasury. Disputes about when the very first anime arose, do not stop today. Previously, there were no studios for making films, and all performed amateurs, so much information was lost.

100th anniversary of anime

According to unofficial data, in 2007 it was exactly 100 years since the very first anime was created. A few years earlier, in 2005, a celluloid tape was found, on which footage was drawn. It is considered to be the oldest animated work, the creation of which dates back to 1907.

The tape consisted of 50 frames. They were depicted OYASH (an ordinary Japanese schoolboy), who wrote on the Kanji board: 活動 写真 (katsudo sasin), which in translation means "active photos". Then he turns to the spectator and bows, taking off his hat, which was part of the then school uniform. Who was the author of this animation, it is not known, like that, was the continuation of this story or not.

The first anime

It is officially considered that the very first anime in the world dates back to 1917. The director of this animation was Simokawa Dekoten, and the tape was called Suketchi no nyūarubamu ("New sketchbook album"). A year later, in 1918, his animation "Momotaro" was released. A little later, the animated film "Battles of the Monkey and Crab" (Sarutokani notatakai) of Kitai Kituyu Seitaro appears. These two directors are considered to be the ancestors of the genre of Japanese animation.

The first animated animations lasted no more than 5-6 minutes. They showed simple scenes from Japanese life, fairy tales or mythology. The tapes were created by single-multipliers, who worked in their homes. The artists took into account the experience of multipliers from Europe and the States and eventually got the genre that can be seen today.

By now, the very first anime of the early twentieth century was irretrievably lost. Only a few details remained, that these works were shown in public and in cinemas, while collecting money. The very first animators worked at home, their work was simple and understandable. Perhaps that's why they quickly won the public's favor.

The first studio

The very first anime was created by single-person enthusiasts, and the multipliers covered their expenses by selling rights to show in cinemas. When the anime began to be talked about as an independent genre, the companies Takamasa Eiga and Asagi Kinema joined in becoming actively involved in the development of this industry. The first studio, whose work was based on the creation and production of animated films, appeared in 1932 on the initiative of Masaoki Kenzo. The first studio was named after its creator - "Masaoka Film Production". In 1933, this studio released its first work entitled "Power and Women of the World".

Becoming a genre

In 1958, animated films were an independent direction of Japanese animation. And at the end of the twentieth century, they were officially recognized as an art form. At this time, a wide audience was shown such tapes as:

  • "The Legend of the White Winter", authored by Taiji Yabusita. The film was released in 1958 with the support of animation studio "Toei", the total duration of the tape was 1 hour 19 minutes.
  • "Otogi's studio calendar" was recognized as the first documentary anime series. Its release lasted from 1961 to 1962. The director of the tape is the founder of the studio "Otogy", Ryuichi Yokoyama.

The beginning of the anime boom in Japan dates back to 1963, when Oama Tezuki, known as the "genius of the manga", founded his own studio "Mushi Production" and presented the first series entitled "Mighty Atom", or "Astro Boy".

The very first love

Anime in the 70 years of the last century began to develop at an unprecedented speed. Everything changed from the drawing to the genre. In the features of images, more attention was paid to the eyes of the characters - they were made more expressive. If in the 60s the images were tried to be made natural, similar to the living person, then a decade later the animators improved the drawing of the eyes. This allowed for more accessible disclosure of the amplitude of feelings and experiences of the main characters.

Not without attention and genre rastasivka. The works were intended not only for children, but also for adults. The first anime series touched on the everyday life of studio workers. For children, the animation was not particularly interesting, but among teenagers and part of the adult population, she found her admirers. Even among the elderly, anime became the second first love.

Over time, in some studios, groups of authors began to form which worked in a certain genre. For example, after the release of "Pure Romance" by the studio "Dean Studio", most of its creators were noticed in the development of the anime "The Best in the World First Love". After the release of two seasons of this series, a full-length film and Ovashki, some creators began to work only with projects of the genre "syonen-ay". This is explained by the lengthy work on the anime "The Best First Love" or personal preferences - it is not known.

The result

When the very first anime in history was created, it remains a mystery. Someone thinks that it was in 1907, someone is sure that this happened in 1917. But no one excludes that the very first anime in the world could have appeared for several years or decades earlier. Today, anime is spreading around the world. You can find films of any genre, footage and age limit. For more than 100 years the existence of anime has significantly changed the presentation, but in general it remained the same as before, - simple and clear to everyone.
