The drug "Tantum Verde" - a variety of forms and methods of application

"Tantum Verde" is an anti-inflammatory non-steroid agent. The drug is intended for topical application and has an analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect, as it stabilizes the cell membranes and suppresses the synthesis of prostaglandins. "Tantum Verde" is perfectly absorbed by the mucous membranes, after which it accumulates in the tissues affected by inflammation. It is excreted from the body with this remedy together with feces and urine.

The main active substance in this preparation is benzidamine hydrochloride. In the manufacture of tablets, quinoline yellow, aspartame, citric acid, racemenol, indigocarmine, lemon and mint flavor are additionally used. When making the solution, the dye is blue V, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, ethanol, quinoline yellow, glycerol, saccharin, menthol flavor, polysorbate 20, sodium hydrogen carbonate, and purified water. The spray composition also further includes a menthol flavorant, saccharin, sodium hydrogencarbonate, ethanol, polysorbate 20, glycerol, methyl parahydroxybenzoate and purified water.

This drug is intended for the treatment of infectious and inflammatory processes that occur in the pharynx and mouth, namely:

- for the treatment of glossitis, gingivitis, stomatitis;

- also the drug is used for pharyngitis, laryngitis, tonsillitis, tonsillitis;

- effective use of "Tantum Verde" in the case of calculous inflammation of salivary glands, periodontitis and candidiasis;

- it is applied after the treatment of teeth, as well as after injuries and surgical interventions for jaw fractures and tonsillectomy.

Tablets "Tantum Verde" dissolve in the oral cavity, in each package there are 20 pieces of 10 in an aluminum blister. The solution is greenish and has the smell of mint. It is designed for rinsing the mouth, for ease of use on the lid there is a grading. The spray is in plastic bottles of 176 doses, each of them has a dispenser and a pump, also greenish, transparent and has a characteristic minty smell.

"Tantum Verde" instruction for use

As already mentioned, this drug is available in the form of tablets, solution and spray. Tablets are taken 3-4 times throughout the day for one piece, the solution rinse the throat after 2-3 hours to reduce pain. Swallowing it is strictly prohibited. "Tantum Verde" spray for children also take every three hours from 4 to 8 clicks on the nebulizer. If the child's age is less than 6 years, then one click corresponds to 4 kilograms of his weight, but not more than four doses.

Side effects from the application of "Tantum Verde"

There may be a feeling of numbness, dryness and burning in the mouth, as well as skin rashes and insomnia.

Contraindications:

The solution of this drug should not be used in children under 12 years of age. The intake of tablets is contraindicated in people who have phenylketonuria, as well as those who are allergic to the components that make up the "Tantum Verde".

This drug can be taken with breastfeeding and during pregnancy, it does not have a negative effect on either the child or his mother.

No cases of an overdose with this drug have been recorded. Do not allow the spray to get into the eyes during use. If using a solution you feel a burning sensation, you should dilute it with half water, which is convenient to use a graduated cap of the vial. Dilute only the amount of solution that will be used, and you can not immediately dilute the entire solution in a vial.

The drug is stored at room temperature, but not more than 4 years.
