The drug "Revalgin." Instructions for use, contraindications.

Revalgin is a member of the clinical and pharmacological group of spasmoanalgesics. Produced this drug in two forms: in tablets and as a solution for injection.

Tablets "Revalgin" are white, have a round shape, are not covered with a shell, have cut edges and are divided in half by a furrow.

The pharmacological action of the drug "Revalgin" is due to the combined properties of the three spasmoanalgic components: metamizole sodium (analgin), pituopenone hydrochloride, and fenpiverinium bromide. With a combination of all three components, the analgesic enhances the pharmacological effect of the drug "Revalgin." The instruction for use describes the action of each of the constituent components.

Metamizol. It has analgesic and antipyretic action, well-established anti-inflammatory properties.

The pitofenon. It causes relaxation of the musculature of the internal organs (similar to papaverine).

Fenpierverinium. It also has an additional effect on the musculature of the internal organs.

The drug "Revalgin" contains and auxiliary components: starch, talc, lactose, magnesium stearate.

Revagin, being a good analgesic, is shown under the following conditions:

- Pain syndrome caused by spasms in the smooth muscles of the internal organs (renal colic, biliary colic, dysmenorrhea, spasms in the intestine, other spastic conditions);

- symptoms that occur with joint pain, with neuralgia and myalgia (for short-term treatment);

- Postoperative period, with diagnostic interventions (as an analgesic, as an auxiliary);

- Catarrhal diseases, with inflammatory processes (used as necessary as antipyretic).

In addition to the indications, under which the doctor prescribes the drug "Revalgin", the instruction for use contains a number of contraindications, which cause the drug to be canceled or replaced.

Revalgin is contraindicated in patients with increased sensitivity to constituent components, people with impaired renal and hepatic function, with tachyarrhythmias.

In men, hypertrophy of the prostate gland is also the reason for the withdrawal of the drug "Revalgin." In pregnancy in the first trimester and 6 weeks before delivery, women are not allowed to take this medication. To the group with contraindications are patients with glaucoma of closed-angle form, with gastrointestinal obstruction, with collapoid states. A child younger than 5 years of age is not recommended for taking the drug.

In the absence of these contraindications, treatment is performed. To do this, you need to know the methods and strictly observe the dosage of the drug "Revalgin." The instruction manual contains a detailed description.

Adults and adolescents older than 15 years of age use revalgin from 2 to 3 times a day, after eating, they take 1-2 tablets each time. The maximum permissible dose can not exceed 6 tablets, revalgin is not used at the indicated dosage for more than 5 consecutive days. The change in the duration of the drug or its daily dose is possible only in consultation with the doctor.

Revalgine, with respect to the dosage is tolerated quite easily, in medical practice there were rare cases of allergic reactions in the form of pruritus, skin rashes, cases of anaphylactic shock are known. Sometimes light dizziness, low blood pressure, cyanosis and tachycardia are tolerated.

Sometimes, if the period of ribavgin administration is too long, blood circulation is disrupted, do not get involved with taking the drug with possible bronchospasm, because this can provoke an attack.
