"The Church of Glorification", Tomsk: description

The church is the place where anyone can come who needs help. Anyone who wants this will help here. "The Church of Glory" (Tomsk) is a unique church organization that deals with good deeds in its field, and the results are really impressive.

brief information

"The Church of Glorification" (Tomsk) is a local church organization that propagates the evangelical faith (Pentecostals). Officially, the church was established and registered by the Department of Justice in June 2000. It should also be noted that the "Church of Glory" (Tomsk) is the Association of Evangelical Christians of the "Church of Faith", which is part of the "Russian Union of Christians of the Evangelical Faith".

Who are Pentecostals?

It is known that the "Church of Praise" helps people. Tomsk is the focus of various religious currents, so who are such Pentecostals, and why is it their faith that saves lives to dozens of people?

Pentecostals are Evangelical Christians, and the direction itself is a branch of Protestantism. This doctrine is very closely intertwined with Baptist doctrines, and in order to differentiate believers, Evangelical Christians call themselves Christians of Evangelical faith. This name has really taken hold, and nowadays it is an integral element of the name of the denominations of this direction.

Pentecostalism arose in the early 20th century in the United States. Ideological roots go much deeper - by the XVIII century, when the philosophical movement of rivayelism was popular.

What are the characteristics of Pentecostals? They attach great importance to the process of baptism by the Holy Spirit, perceiving Him as a real spiritual experience, as a result of which God's grace is condescended to man.

And now let us explain why this direction is called this way: the experience of a person during the baptism of the Holy Spirit is compared with what the apostles experienced on the fiftieth day after Christ was resurrected. In time this day was called Pentecost, and hence the name of the people of this faith.

"The Church of Glorification" (Tomsk): history

Pastor of the church from its very founding until today is Oleg Tikhonov, who believed in the divine power in February 1999. Soon he decided to help people recover from drug addiction in his hometown of Tomsk. This activity captured a young man, and he decided to expand it: in November 1999 he created the "Church of Glory" (Tomsk), in which he appointed himself a pastor. At first, Tikhonov's personal living space and his wife were used as a rehabilitation center for all those in need.

Naturally, the city administration noticed such a useful activity and decided to encourage it. Already in 2001, VM Kress gave O. Tikhonov a building in the village of Shtamovo for free rent. Expanding its activities, Oleg Tikhonov purchased this piece of land as a property at an auction in 2008. Thanks to the donations of the parishioners in 2012, three buildings and land were purchased, which are currently in a state of repair, and in the future will become a temple complex.

Active Activities

"The Church of Glorification" (Tomsk) every year more actively worked with parishioners. The number of people attending church has grown steadily. In 2004, biblical courses were opened in the city on the basis of the textbooks of the Church of the Word of Life (Moscow). In 2006, the first "Alpha Courses" were held - weekly gatherings devoted to conversations about God and faith.

In 2010, the unification of the churches of the Tomsk region took place, in which Oleg Tikhonov became the senior pastor. On the outcome of the positive completion of the unification process, O. Tikhonov was ordained bishop. In 2012, he was appointed a full-fledged representative of the Chief Bishop of the Russian United Pentecostal Union in the Tomsk region.

Teachings

As it was said earlier, "The Church of Glorification" (Tomsk) professes the Protestant trend. The main idea is that salvation is possible, if a person believes. In other words, if a believer himself believes in the possibility of the atonement of sins through the Lord, he can receive forgiveness and eternal life. This direction is not confined to confession, it changes all spheres of a person's life, bringing them into line with the Bible's commandments.

The faith of the Pentecostal people concentrates on three main points: personal relationship with God, continuous learning of the commandments and truths, and help to others. Great attention is paid to the study of the Bible, as the most reliable source for knowing the wisdom of God. There is also a movement dedicated to healing through interaction with the Holy Spirit - imbued with it, it is possible to find forgiveness and healing.

It is believed that the person to whom the wisdom of God has come down can not be blind to the troubles of others. That is why the "Church of Glory" (Tomsk) is not only working with believers, but also active social work with various problem groups of the population.

Work in the social sphere

Some believe that the "Glory Church" sect is just a successful commercial project, but it is very easy to disprove it if you get into the organization's activities. Nobody will deny that the church originated not by standard rules, but this proves how much one person can do if he is really led by faith and desire.

"The Church of Glorification" takes an active part in the social life of the city. The organization's volunteers help the poor and large families, organize festivities for orphans, and help the homeless. There is even a separate charity fund "Hand of Help", based on the church. The main direction of his work is helping people with alcohol and drug addiction, including mothers and children, people from prisons, homeless people and difficult teenagers.

Missionary Work

Missionary work began in 2010, when the unification of the churches of the Tomsk region occurred. To date, it has reached such a large scale that people specifically move to a permanent place of residence in the villages and villages of the Tomsk region in order to inform the masses about the Good News.

There are also several sister churches, in which regular services are held on Sundays. Very common "home groups" - the association of several houses, which regularly gather and conduct talks about the church, faith and God for a week. In addition, these groups carry out volunteer work at their place of residence - they help the poor, homeless people, orphans and dependent people of their district.

Reviews

"The Church of Glorification" (Tomsk), reviews of which are very different, is still an exemplary organization. Someone argues that this is only a properly planned move, but most really believe in the effectiveness of the work of the church.

As a rule, the first group of people are those who are completely disillusioned with church dogmas, people who no longer believe in Salvation. And the second group are those who, on their personal experience, became convinced that faith can save a person who himself is striving for it.

An unequivocal answer to how to treat this unique church organization will not be given by anyone, since this is a personal matter for every person. Common sense should still remind us of the enormous social work that the church is carrying out, and secret motives, except for help to neighbors, can not be found here.

Summarizing the results of this article, I want to say that you can judge something after you've tried it yourself. Only in this case can you claim at least a minimum of objectivity.
