The form

Booklets are printed, as a rule, on a standard sheet of paper, which is subsequently added, giving it the appearance of an accordion. The result is a small, long, three-page book. They are filled with advertising materials from two sides.

Of course, you can make a booklet out of two pages. An example is theatrical programs. But this format is more convenient for placing mostly textual information. In the event that you need to place a maximum of images, the best way is to resort to the classical view.

Booklet in the Word

To create promotional products in the most popular text editor, you must download the template from the official website. There is no need to search for it on the network. It is enough to start the "Word", go to the "File" tab, select the "Create" command. Each installed version of the program already contains many templates for various kinds of documents. This includes protocols, flyers, invitations and similar templates. Booklets, as a rule, are absent. But it is enough to type the word "brochure" in the search line, and the clever editor finds the required one himself. Along with the booklet template, the program offers several types of other printing products, but for now it is sufficient to choose the required standard version.

After clicking the mouse with the mouse, the standard "Vorda" window will open, but the booklet will already be displayed in it. This example can easily be changed, replacing the proposed information with your advertising materials.

Create a booklet

The downloaded template, as already mentioned, is two usual sheets of A format. 4. They are located in a landscape orientation. Change it in the "Word" does not work, but it's not required.

The first sheet is three columns. The left is the title page of the booklet. It, as a rule, reflects the name of the company and its logo. The two remaining columns can be filled with information about tours, conditions of registration, prices, offered tours, various services. To do this, just click on the area already occupied by the template text, and replace it with your own.

The second sheet is the back of the booklet. It also has information and illustrations. But it must be remembered that later it will be necessary to fold the sheet with an accordion. Editing the booklet

The size, color, font type in the template can be changed. The "Home" tab when working with the template is practically not limited functionally. All the formatting options are available, which can not be said about the other tabs. Limited functionality in the work with drawings. There is no possibility to set boundaries, group images, select objects. It can be created without resorting to a template.

Create a non-standard booklet

This process is best considered step by step. So:

1. We launch the "Word".
2. Go to the "Page layout" tab.
3. Choose the item "Orientation".
4. Set the landscape position of the sheet.
5. In the same tab - "Page Layout" - select the function "Columns", note their number. In our case, this is three.
6. Define the separation of pages. To do this, select "Other columns" from the "Columns" item. In the drop-down box, tick the checkbox "Divide".

At this point, you can begin to fill out the first part of the booklet. Recall that the extremely left column is the title page. After filling it, the editor displays a dividing line, which makes the work more convenient. The second part of the booklet is created similarly to the first one.
