Sim de Jong and Luke de Jong - a double kick from the Netherlands

It does not often happen in professional sports, so that for one team siblings spoke. But the Dutch PSV was lucky - they have just two people with the name De Jong. The same fact can be proud of the Netherlands national football team - the brothers Sim and Luke De Jong with their hard work earned a place in the national team and protect the honor of the country at international tournaments.

The Dutch miracle

It would be strange if in a family of professional sportsmen children were born without a predisposition to this kind of activity. Parents of future football players once played for the national team of the Netherlands in volleyball, and especially successful athlete was my mother. Sim de Jong was born in the small town of Aigle, which is located in the south-west of Switzerland. It happened in a local hospital in 1989. The boy's parents moved from the Netherlands in 1982 and lived in the town of Leysane, where the childhood of the elder brother of De Jong was held.

It was in the local team of Dutinhamema that Sim made his first steps in football. Until the age of twelve, he played for club DZK'68, until he was noticed by scouts from the Grafshapa. In 2001, he becomes a player of the junior staff of this club. At the club there was a school in which a talented young football player worked until 2005.

The school "Ritveld Likem" was famous for its eminent alumni. At one time from its walls came out such stars as Guus Hiddink and Klass-Jan Hyuntelar.

Academy of "Ajax"

After receiving an invitation from the football academy of Amsterdam "Ajax", Sim De Jong did not hesitate for a long time and immediately agreed to move. However, at first he wanted to combine the career of a football player with studying at the University of Amsterdam at the Department of Economics, but had to make a choice. Training took too much time. To fully focus on the game practice, Sim De Jong postpones his studies for an indefinite period.

Only one season for the youth composition of "Ajax" was required for a talented young man to reveal his potential and convince the coaching staff to translate it into the foundation of the club. Debut fight for De Jong was a game against "Kozzaken Boys", which the Amsterdam club won. In 2007, Sim De Jong scored his first goal in the match against Rotterdam's "Sparta".

In 2012, the player deservedly becomes the captain of the Amsterdam "Ajax". 244 matches and 78 goals - that's De Jong's contribution to the overall success of the club.

English Holidays
