Restaurant "Black Tai": Thai exotic in the White Stone.

"Black Tai" - a restaurant (Moscow), located in the Great Putinkovsky Lane, became a serious competitor to neighboring establishments and the third joint project of Ginza and Alexander Rappoport. The main idea was to create a cozy place, working until late at night, without any culinary flirting.

The name of the restaurant "Black Tai" was due to the play of words, which is associated with a strict evening dress and mysterious Thailand. First restaurateur Alexander Rappoprot wanted to stay on the option "Thai Wan", but preferred Black Thai.

Interior

Every detail in the institution speaks of the culture of Asian peoples, their traditions, true, everything is expressed in modern interpretation. Exotic interior, interesting details emphasize the black color of the institution and the artifacts brought from Thailand - decorated with national ornaments jugs, carved columns reminiscent of the inverted Hindu temple, the elephant team, the chair, the wagon that now plays the role of an armchair, and of course the symbol of the amazing Thailand - Magnificent orchids.

In the center of the hall is a bar, strewn with coins to attract good luck. The ceiling is also not empty: it is decorated with national Uzbek ornament. Why Uzbek? In the opinion of designers, this design, left from the old Kilima institution, fits well into the interior design, so it did not change it.

A characteristic feature of Thai cuisine is a combination of 4 ingredients: spicy, sweet, sour and spicy. And real delight can be experienced in the case when four tastes are found in one dish. A real failure is the inability of the chef to achieve this result.

Special love and popularity among visitors was received by an octopus, smoked for several hours in the smoke of green tea (cost - 680 rubles).

Soups in the menu take about 5 positions. Traditional tom-yam is offered to try in two variations: the first is cooked with shrimps and chicken, and the second one is based on coconut milk.

Method of submission

Each ordered dish is served in a matte black dish. Any food is generously flavored with cilantro and decorated with thin rings of chili peppers. Despite the refined interior and the fact that most of the products are delivered by air directly from Thailand, the price of the Black Tai restaurant is reasonable.

Desserts and bar

Any dessert restaurant "Black Tai" gives an exotic look and taste, but this does not deprive them of attractiveness for the Russian audience. Popular among the dishes of the sweet menu was the pistachio parfait and caramel-chocolate mousse, decorated with pieces of strawberries and durian.

As for entertainment and drinks, the responsibility fell on the shoulders of the Ginza Project. The bar card includes an incredible amount of cocktails based on rum, vodka, gin and whiskey. Not without the use of branded cocktails.

Be sure to try the fragrant "Black Tai" with prune jam, gin, kumwat and violet foam, made using molecular techniques. No less impressive is the cocktail "Walpurgis Night", made from pumpkin juice and gin. It is pleasant to surprise not only taste, but also a way of giving: instead of usual glasses, the drink is poured into a bright orange pumpkin.

Opinion of visitors

Eastern cuisine is an emotional explosion and an incredible combination of bright tastes. As for Thai cooking, it is neutral for Europeans, but if you cook it correctly and be able to discover the taste of each ingredient, you will end up with an outstanding dish. Could the Black Thai restaurant have achieved this effect? Reviews about the menu are mostly flattering. Visitors note the unique taste of the dishes, and the original method of serving.

A lot of people were delighted with the octopus, and, in their opinion, it's so clever to prepare this seafood only in the Black Thai restaurant.

Some visitors are dissatisfied with a dish called "Pad-Tai". According to the guests of the establishment, noodles taste like ordinary fast food, the dish lacks the original sharpness.
