And then, in a flash, a bright light came from the icon, which blinded and burned the Tatars. The invaders fled, away from the Kostroma land. Thus the city was saved. At the place where this phenomenon occurred, a chapel was later built, which can be seen at the present time. Later, people saw other miraculous phenomena.
